Abstract

1,013,476. Fluid pressure servomotor system. HITACHI Ltd. Sept. 10, 1963 [Sept. 12, 1962], No. 35722/63. Heading G3P. A speed governor comprises a spool valve 2 actuated by a governor 1 to control the supply and exhaust of fluid to a spring loaded piston 4. A piston rod 6 is connected to a lever 11 through a lever 7, rod 8, spring 10 and rod 9 and through a lever 15 and link 20., while the lever 11 is connected to the valve sleeve 14 through a link 12 and lever 13. The lever 15 is pivoted at b to a dashpot 16 such that for slow movements of the piston 4 the linkage moves the valve sleeve 14 to follow the movements of the valve 2 but in the event of sudden movements, the lever 15 rotates about pivot b to move the sleeve 14 in the opposite direction to the movement of valve 2.
