Abstract
1,012,751. Thermonuclear apparatus. K. NOWAK. June 15, 1962 [June 21, 1961], No. 23181/62. Heading G6P. [Also in Division HI. In a process for producing nuclear fusion reactions an electron beam is directed into the collision zone of two beams of ions. In Fig. 3 two beams of ions J 1 and J 2 are directed towards each other in a reaction zone surrounded by a cooling jacket 2 and coils 3a, 3b which produce magnetic fields in the same direction. A cathode-ray tube 5 supplies electrons to the reaction zone preferably after the ion beams have collided. Specifications 656,398, 838,443 and 878,337 are referred to.
