Abstract

1,011,019. Reciprocating pumps. ANDRE CITROEN S.A. Aug. 13, 1962 [Sept. 11, 1961], No. 30920/62. Heading F1A. A rotating cylinder block swash plate pump or motor has a passage 19 interconnecting orifices 20, 21 formed in the valve plate 10 between the inlet port 8 and the delivery port 9. A slide valve 12 is fitted in the passage 19 and is subjected at one end to delivery pressure in opposition to a calibrated spring 16. When the delivery pressure is insufficient to overcome the spring loading there is communication between pump cylinders 23, 25 but at no time is there communication between the inlet and delivery ports, thereby eliminating pre-compression or pre-expansion of the liquid.
