Abstract

1,010,862. Magnetic switches. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. July 29, 1964 [July 31, 1963], No. 30414/63. Heading H2B. A magnet 1 movable by a float or flowresponsive means repels a radially magnetized disc magnet 4 outside a container 1. The magnet 4 actuates a contact spring 12 cooperating with a fixed contact 10 and located so that the magnet 4 provides magnetic blowout for any arc formed between the contacts 10, 12. The limits of movement of the magnet 4 are set by the sides of an aperture 14 through which a member 13, extending between the magnet 4 and contact, passes.
