Embossing; stopping-arrangements. - In a matrix imprinting and drying press of the kind in which the matrix is dried while in contact with the type, means are provided to release or reduce the pressure automatically when the press head has just passed the point of maximum pressure, so that the drying of the matrix is effected at a pressure less than the maximum imprinting pressure.
