Abstract

1,010,351. Road traffic signals on vehicles; lamp failure alarms; visible signalling systems. A. SIRUCEK, [trading as ANTON SIRUCEK METALLWARENFABRIK]. Oct. 7, 1963 [Oct. 9, 1962], No. 39509/63. Headings G4F, G4N and G4Q. [Also in Division H3] A direction indicator blinker circuit comprises an astable transistor multivibrator, one transistor, 9, of which is a power transistor and has in its output circuit a relay 6. The impedance of the output circuit being chosen to restrict induced voltage. The voltage is restricted by means of resistor R 4 which also controls the flashing rate. Alternatively a capacitor may be connected across the coil at relay 6. Contact 15 of relay 6 energizes the vehicles turn indicator lamps 4, 4<SP>1</SP> and also relay 7 which controls contacts 17 connected in the circuits of pilot lamps 2. The contacts 17 are adjusted so that one, two or all three are closed depending on the current through the coil 16. Thus a failure of one or more turn indicator lamps will result in one or more of the lamps 2 remaining dark.
