Abstract

101,016. Dunwoody, H. H. C. July 26, 1915, [Convention date]. Projectiles.-Consists in making contour caps 5 with an inner wall 8 having a cup-shaped centre part 10 screwed or otherwise secured to a correspondingly shaped part on the projectile, the closed chamber 11 of the cap being filled with explosive or gas-generating chemicals fired by a fuse 7 in the nose of the cap. The contour cap is further secured to the projectile 1 by a flange 6.
