Abstract

1,009,570. Gas filter. OZONAIR ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. July 1, 1964 [July 2, 1963], No. 26277/63. Heading B1T. An endless web 4 of wire netting is wound sinuously over perforated drums 2 and serves to support a filtering web of paper tissue 10. Web 4 is led off drums 2 through sealing rollers 5 to between driving rollers 6, and web 10 is wound off a clean roll 9, between top rollers 5, round drums 2 with web 4, back between lower rollers 5 and on to roll 13. A motor 7 drives rollers 6 and also rollers 11, 14 to turn rolls 9, 13, and drums 2 are rotated by web 4. Dirty air enters casing 1 on four sides, passes through web 10 and is withdrawn cleaned, from ports, Fig. 2 (not shown), opening to the space between drums 2 and to inside certain drums by a suction pump. Web 4 and drums 2 have beading and annular wire brushes or felt rings, respectively; which sealingly engage the walls of casing 1, Figs. 3, 4 (not shown). Specification 925,872 is referred to.
