Abstract

1,009,532. Fat emulsions. CHEMISCHE FABRIK KALK G.m.b.H. Sept. 17, 1963 [Nov. 13, 1962], No. 36578/63. Heading A2B. Emulsions easily assimilated by humans and animals comprise 3-90% of fat or oil, e.g. beef fat, lard, fish fat, a hardened oil, palm kernel, coconut, soya, groundnut, linseed or a fish oil, in which 0.3-7.5% of the ester content has been saponified, e.g. by potassium hydroxide or potassium ethanolate, emulsified in a liquid tolerated by the digestive organs, e.g. in water, skimmed milk or a "slop" from cereals or potatoes. A nutritive, condensed alkali metal phosphate may be added to assist emulsification.
