Abstract

A motor vehicle suspension comprises a leaf spring having a fixed pivot at one end and being longitudinally movable in a bearing member at the other, the bearing member comprising a bracket 1 attached to the vehicle and a member 3 pivotally mounted on a pin 4 which bears on the upper leaf 6 of the spring. The extent of angular movement of the member 3 is limited by pins 5 extending into slots 3a and the spring is prevented from leaving the device on rebound by a bent-over end 7a of the lower leaf 7. A lubricant impregnated polyurethane coating may be applied to the bearing surface of the bracket 1 which mates with the member 3.
