Abstract

100,778. Deutsche Gold- & Silber- Scheideanstalt, vorm. Roessler. 30, 1915, [Convention date]. Addition to 100,153. Sodium perborate, obtaining, by the process described in the parent Specification. According to the present invention, high current-densities are employed at 'both electrodes in order to improve the yield, increase of density at the anode having the greater influence. An iron rod may serve as cathode, and a platinum net as anode. Particulars of the yields obtained with anode current densities of 10, 20, and 40 amperes per sq. dcm., and cathode densities of 8.2, 10, and 20 amperes per sq. dem., are given. The electrolyte may contain, in addition to borax, 138 grm. of sodium carbonate, 50 grm. of bicarbonate, and 20 grm. of perborate per litre.
