Abstract

100,756. Kops, D. Feb. 1, 1916. Corsets.-The bust sections of corsets are boned with steels 20, 21, Fig. 6, diverging upwards from the point 32. At this point and on the inside of the corset are attached straps 31 terminating in suspender webbings 33, the straps being free of the corset skirt and acting to pull the stiffened bust downwards and so compress the abdominal parts. An additional suspender strap 38, Fig. 8, may be employed at each side in front, and a cross-strap 39, sewn along the line 40 both to the corset skirt and to the strap 31, may be connected with the strap 38. A fastening 43 is used to engage a complementary fastening on a similar strap attached to the other half of the corset. In the absence of the strap 39, the fastenings 43 are attached to the straps 38. Specification 1175/15 is referred to.
