Abstract

1,005,502. Typewriters &c. ELLICOCK & HEALY Ltd. April 16, 1964 [April 17, 1963], No. 15093/63. Heading B6F. A plurality of printing blocks 11 each having an engraved printing surface 16 is pivotally connected in series by pins 15 and depends from the lower end of a support bar 10 which carries grooves 25 indicating the operative positions of the blocks when a hook member 12 engages the respective horizontal support slats, Fig. 3 (not shown). Each block carries at one end two side lugs 17 and at the other end a central lug 18. Numeral 13 indicates a manipulating handle for use in selecting the required printing block. In operation a member forces a workpiece such as a box lid against a heated surface 16 with the interposition of a coloured foil. The blocks may be replaced by removing the pins 15 and visual indications by way of erasable markings may be provided on the surfaces between the grooves 25. Sets of the blocks may be suspended side-by-side at selected levels.
