Abstract

Oil is dehydrated by heating the oil and mixing it with air, wherein the heated oil is forced out of a nozzle so as to draw air into the issuing oil. A suitable apparatus comprises a nozzle directed into a collecting tank, which may contain a plurality of mesh baffles to break up foam, and means for heating the oil and forcing it through the nozzle, which may be situate at the top of a tower, having an air inlet adjacent the nozzle, on the collecting tank.
