Abstract
1,003,072. Loading vehicles from loading platforms. A. ACHAMMER. March 1, 1963 [March 10, 1962; Jan. 17, 1963], No. 8194/63. Heading B8E. The loading platform 2 of a vehicle for receiving articles 9 of similar dimensions extends over the driving cab 7 at such a height that it can be aligned at either end with a loading platform 4 which may have a pivoted connecting platform 10 which may be inclined to allow for differences in levels. Corresponding guideways 5, 6 are provided and rollers 12 may aid loading movement. The containers 9 have feet 14, Fig. 6, with pegs or skids 15 to engage the rails 13, 22 of the guideway 5 to aid sliding and prevent tipping. In a modification, the rollers 12 may be positioned on rails of the guideway 6. A hoisting stacker 21, Fig. 8, may be provided at the rear of the platform 2. In a further modification, Fig. 9, the loads may be moved by conveyer belts 26 running on rollers 25, while the rails of the guideways 5, 6 may be raised by rocking levers 28 to support the load clear of the conveyer 26 during transport.
