Abstract

1,002,958. Shovelling machines. MASSEYFERGUSON Inc. Sept. 22, 1961 [Oct. 14, 1960], No. 34000/61. Heading E1F. A boom linkage for controlling the movement of a shovel of a shovelling attachment mountable on a vehicle chassis comprises a frame 20, 22 that can be secured to the chassis, a boompreferably formed of two spaced arms of which each arm comprises two interconnected sections 25, 26, a link 50, and actuating jacks 36, 62. The or each boom section 25 is pivotally connected at 33 to the frame 20, 22 and to the associated boom section 26 at 47. Pivotally mounted at 61 on the free end of the or each boom section 26 is a scoop 27 that is also connected to the or each boom section 25 by means, preferably the jack or jacks 62 pivoted at 65 to the associated boom section 25 and to the scoop 27 at 67. The link 50 is pivotally coupled to the frame 20, 22 at 53 and to the boom section 26 at 51 or a cross brace between the boom sections.
