Abstract

Artificial stone building elements consist of a mixture of 60 to 75% by weight of one or more mineral fillers and a vinyl chloride polymer or copolymer free from plasticizer. Specified fillers are quartz meal, terrazo flour, powdered marble, powdered slate, talc, kaolin, silica, titanium dioxide and carbon black. Specified elements are wall slabs, tiles, window sills, stairway risers and treads, gravestones and acid-resistant slabs for laboratory table tops, tanks and floors.
