Abstract

1,001,399. Protective arrangements. LLOYD DYNAMOWERKE G.m.b.H. May 4, 1964 [May 3, 1963], No. 18424/64. Heading H2K. In a dynamo-electric machine having a rotating assembly comprising a field winding 10, a rectifier 12 and an A.C. winding 15 supplying the winding 10 through the rectifier 12, a detector 19 responds to changes induced in a stationary winding 18 due to a defect in the rotating assembly. As shown the winding 18 may be damping winding or turn mounted on a pole 16 of the field assembly for the three-phase winding 15 and the detector 19 is a current transformer supplying an alarm or signal circuit. Reference is made to the detector responding to changes in voltage current, frequency or harmonic content.
