Abstract

A mixture of powder for making articles by powder metallurgy comprises a base powder consisting of Cr, Co, Al, Ti, B, Zr, C and not less than 30% Ni with or without Fe, W, Mo, V, Nb and/or Ta to which is added 0.5-20% by weight of the powdered carbides of Nb and/or V. Examples given fall within the following ranges: .Ni.30% minimum .Cr.1 -25% .Al.0.5 -10% .Ti.0.5 -10% .Fe.0 -15% .B.0.01- 1% .Zr.0.01- 3% .C.0.1 - 1% .Co.10 -25% .W.0 -15% .Mo.0 -10% .V.0 - 5% .Nb and/or Ta.0 -10% The powders are -100 mesh (B.S.)
