Abstract
1,000,559. Magnetic amplifiers. LICENTIA PATENT - WERWALTUNGS - G.m.b.H. July 27, 1961, No. 27269/61. Heading H3B. A known push-pull magnetic amplifier, Fig. 1, described as auto-self-excited, comprises two amplifier sections 1, 2 with control windings 1b, 2b. The exciting rectifiers 1a, 2a are biased by a battery 6 so that the forward current through one rectifier is accepted in the reverse direction by the other rectifier. In Fig. 2, two rectified bridges 7, 8 provide separate biasing voltages No. 1, No. 2, applied through resistors 4, 5 to the two amplifier sections 1a, 2a. The rectifier bridges are themselves biased by the output voltages U1, U2 from the amplifier sections. The sum of the bias voltages (Uo 1 + Uo 2 ) is constant, the voltage of the source 11 being split across the primaries of transformers 9, 10 in the same proportion as their input impedances which in turn depend upon the outputs of the amplifier sections 1, 2.
