In the course of study of the invention which was the subject of French Patent No. 1,347,544 filed February 18, 1963, it appeared the interest of housing judiciously and advantageously the umbrella stand in the thickness of the partition a door or doors of vehicles, which avoids any risk of snagging and increase the size inside the car. On the other hand a preferably angular arrangement as described later, facilitates the engagement of the umbrella or other object, allowing them to be removed just as conveniently.

To fix the object of the addition, without limiting it, in the attached drawing:

Figure 1 shows an external view with partial section, the umbrella stand mounted inside an automobile door;

Figure 2 is on a larger scale a sectional view along the line A-B of Figure 1;

Figure 3 shows on a larger scale by an axial sectional view the lower end of the umbrella stand;

FIG. 4 is on a larger scale a sectional view taken along the line C-D of FIG. 2.

According to the addition we will have:

A case has a conical tabular shape and preferably a plastics material.

This conical case is open beveled at its top, with covering by a flexible tongue a1 independent or secured to the flexible coating b1 of the interior partition of the door b.

A fixing of the case is provided in a2 by any appropriate means to make it integral with the partition b. At its lower part 3, the conical case joined with sealing a c-shaped metallic pipe passing through the cover or the fitting or frame of the door, thus constituting a point of attachment by means of a nut at the end of the pipe to ensure blocking; a bou-8 210809 7

outer shell forming a watertight shutter of the water tank constituted by the base of the case a. It is emphasized in fact that it is necessary to avoid any contact of the wet part of the umbrella e with the coating b1 and it is also necessary to receive water dripping from the umbrella.

Thus conceived, it is easy to admit the interest of this realization which gives users all ease of use and convenience of storage. The device allows a more rational use of spaces. It also provides waterproofing and convenient draining of the collected water, while allowing easy and quick manipulation of the umbrella, cane, or other item that you want to store.

In particular, it avoids any water flow under the floor of the car which produces infiltration on the carpet and oxidation of the sheets.

On the other hand, its angular disposition does not hinder or change the useful and free volume of the door. In particular, it is observed that the mounting of the device does not interfere with the mechanisms ice lifter or other mounting equipping the doors.

It goes without saying that this conical case according to its dimensions will be able to receive other objects.

As is obvious and as already apparent from the foregoing, the addition is in no way limited to that of its modes of application, nor to those of the embodiments of its various parts having more specifically been indicated. ; on the contrary, it embraces all variants.
