Ce dispositif de déconnexion et de freinage d’un rotor d’une machine électrique comprend un axe interne (17) entraîné en rotation par le rotor (3) et déplaçable longitudinalement entre une position d’engagement et une position de déconnexion, le dispositif (7) de déconnexion et de freinage comprenant en outre un écrou (33) fixe longitudinalement et un moyen de freinage (39) de la rotation de l’écrou (33) de sorte que le freinage de la rotation de l’écrou (33) entraîne l’axe interne (17) dans sa position de déconnexion et freine la rotation du rotor (3).
