De manière inattendue, la Demanderesse a mis en évidence qu’un extrait de thé noir provenant de l’île Maurice, en particulier obtenu par un procédé permettant d’enrichir sa teneur en petites molécules d’ARNs, et comparativement à un extrait de thé noir provenant d’Inde obtenu selon le même procédé, avait des effets bénéfiques sur la respiration mitochondriale des cellules et la synthèse d’ATP des cellules de la peau, permettant ainsi de favoriser et/ou stimuler la vitalité des cellules cutanées. Les extraits de feuilles de thé décrits dans l’art antérieur sont obtenus avec des solvants organiques et donc riches en polyphénols de type catéchine (WO2006/111666), mais contiennent peu de molécules organiques telles que des sucres, des acides aminés ou encore des oligo-ribonucléotides. Claims (12)
a) on met en présence les feuilles de thé préalablement broyées avec de l’eau ;
b) on ajoute de l’acide phytique ;
c) on ajuste le pH à une valeur comprise entre 10 et 11 ;

e) on purifie le mélange obtenu en c) pour éliminer la matière végétale solide résiduelle et récolter le filtrat ;

g) on traite par du charbon actif en poudre ;
h) on filtre pour éliminer le charbon actif et récolter le filtrat ;
i) on traite le filtrat à l’aide de polyvinylpolypyrrolidones (PVPP) ;
j) on filtre pour éliminer les PVPP et récolter le filtrat ;
k) on contrôle et réajuste le pH du filtrat, si nécessaire, à une valeur comprise entre 6 et 6,5 ;
