Abstract

[Device for pairing two textile pieces The invention relates to a device (1) for pairing two textile pieces comprising, on the one hand, a first element (2), consisting of a flat plate (3), provided with a means (4) for retaining said textile pieces, consisting of at least one slot (41) provided with a plurality of teeth (42) and open at one end, and, on the other hand, a second element (5) , pivotally linked to said first element. Said second element is movable about its axis (6) between at least a first position (71) called "passage" in which said slot of the first element remains open, allowing the passage of the two textile pieces in said slot, and a second so-called “blocking” position (72) in which said second element closes said slot so as to block said two paired textile pieces in said slot. Description

Pairing device for two textile pieces

The present invention relates to the textile field and, more specifically, to a device allowing the association of several textile pieces together.

The present invention relates in particular to a device for pairing two textile pieces together, in particular two socks of the same pair.

Such a device is particularly advantageous because it makes it possible to assemble and hold together a pair of textile pieces, when leaving production, during presentation at the point of sale (POS), during washing, drying and storage of said parts.

Thus, by means of the present invention, it is possible to save precious time, by avoiding having to systematically search for two socks of a pair, in particular, after washing and drying them.

To this end, the present invention relates to a device for pairing two textile pieces together, in particular socks.

The pairing device of the invention comprises, at least, on the one hand, a first element in the form of a flat plate, provided with a means for retaining said textile pieces in the form of at least a slot provided with a plurality of teeth and open at one of its ends, and, on the other hand, a second element pivotally connected to said first element substantially at the center thereof.

Said second element is movable about its axis between at least a first so-called "passage" position in which said at least one slot of the first element remains open allowing the passage of the two textile pieces to be paired in said at least one slot, and a second so-called “blocking” position in which said second element closes said at least one slot so as to block said two paired textile pieces in said at least one slot.

According to particular embodiments:

- said flat plate of said first element consists of a circular or substantially circular disk;

- said retaining means consists of a single slot provided with a plurality of teeth and in that said second element is in the form of a hook capable of closing this slot;

- said first element comprises a means for attaching said pairing device in particular to a rope or a washing line, on a drying rack of the tancarville type or of the drying tower type, such attachment means possibly consisting of a second slot formed in the upper part of said first element;

- At least said second movable element relative to said first element comprises, on its back, a gripping means so as to facilitate the rotation of said second element from the first “passage” position to the second “blocking” position;

- Said first element also comprises, on its back, a gripping means so as to facilitate the rotation of said second element from the first “passing” position to the second “blocking” position;

- Said first element and said second element are made of thermoplastic material.

Other aims and advantages of the present invention will appear during the description which will follow relating to embodiments which are given only by way of indicative and non-limiting examples.

The understanding of this description will be facilitated by referring to the attached drawings in which:

With reference to these drawings, the present invention relates to a device for assembling at least two textile pieces, the latter consisting more particularly of a device 1 for pairing two textile pieces, which can in particular be used to associate between they both socks of the same pair.

The pairing device 1 of the present invention comprises, on the one hand, a first element 2, in the form of a flat plate 3, having a first face or front 31, an embodiment of which is illustrated on the , and a second face, or back, 32, opposite said first face 31.

The back 32 of the flat plate 3 of the first element 2 of the device 1 is illustrated in Figures 1, 3 and 4.

In the figures attached to this description, said flat plate 3 advantageously takes the form of a circular disc, or substantially circular.

This being so, other shapes of flat plate 3 can be envisaged for the production of the pairing device 1 of the invention, in particular polygonal, in particular a globally square or hexagonal shape.

The shape of the device 1 according to the invention can easily be adapted according to specific needs or a particular request.

Said flat plate 3 of the first element 2 comprises at least one retaining means 4 for the textile pieces which should be associated and held together by means of said device 1, such retaining means being preferentially presented, as illustrated in the figures, in the form of a slot 41.

Such a slot 4 must be open at one of its ends and wide enough to allow the passage of textile pieces, in particular the two socks of the same pair, and is provided with a plurality of teeth 42 for the retention of those -this.

Such an embodiment should not however be considered as being limiting of the present invention, and it is entirely possible that the means for retaining the textile pieces is in the form of two slots, each open at one of its ends, a first sock of the pair being slid into the first slot of the retaining means, while the second sock is positioned in the second slot.

Such an embodiment is however not illustrated in the attached figures.

In addition to the first element 2, said pairing device 1 for textile pieces in accordance with the invention also comprises a second element 5, shown on the left in the .

Note that, if on this , said second element 5 is shown independently from the first element 2 of the device 1, these elements 2, 5 are intended to be associated together in an integral manner so as to form the pairing device 1, as shown in the figures 3 and 4.

Most preferably, the first element 2 and the second element 5 of the pairing device 1 are snapped together by suitable means, however allowing the pivoting of one of the elements relatively with respect to the other.

More specifically, said second element 5 is pivotally connected to said first element 2, preferably substantially at the center of the latter.

An eccentric positioning of the connection point between the first element 2 and the second element 5 is also possible.

Said second element 5 is then movable around its axis 6 from at least a first so-called “passage” position 71 illustrated on the , to a second so-called “blocking” position 72, represented on the , and vice versa, i.e. movable from the "blocking" position 72 to the "passing" position 71.

In the first position 71, or "passage" position, said at least one slot 41 that comprises the first element 2 remains open, thus allowing the passage of the two textile pieces to be paired in said slot 41.

In the second position 72 called the "blocking" position, said second element 5 closes said slot 41 so as to block said two paired textile pieces in said slot 41.

In the embodiment, not illustrated in the figures, in which said first element of the pairing device comprises two slots, the second element of said device may be in an elongated oval shape or an S shape , one of the ends of the oval being able, in the blocking position, to close the opening of the first slot, while the opposite end closes the opening of the second slot.

Other shapes are also possible.

In the attached figures is illustrated a preferred embodiment in which the first element 2 of the pairing device 1 comprises a single slot 41 whose opening at one end can be closed by the second element 5 of said device 1 when the latter is in its blocking position 72, said second element 5 advantageously being in the form of a hook or half-S.

One then comes, by means of the hook 5 which has swung from the first position 71 to the second position 72, to pinch the pair of socks, in particular, which has been previously positioned by the user in the slot 41 provided with teeth 42, to immobilize said pair of socks in the pairing device 1 of the invention.

Thus, the use of the present pairing device 1 of the invention allows a considerable saving of time when washing and drying the pairs of socks, given that it is no longer necessary to search, at the exit of the washing machine or the dryer, the two elements that need to be matched. The socks were in fact put on in pairs before the wash cycle. It should be noted that the socks can also be stored in pairs.

In a particularly interesting manner, said first element 2 of the pairing device 1 according to the present invention also comprises a means 8 for attaching said pairing device 1 in particular for suspending the latter from a sales display, from a rope or on a washing line, on a drying tower or a tancarville-type drying rack.

Such attachment means 8 of said pairing device 1 advantageously consists of a second slot 81 provided with an eyelet 82 and open at one of its ends, formed in the upper part of said first element 2, considering that the first slot 41 for retaining the textile pieces is positioned in the lower part of the first element 2.

It should also be noted that, in accordance with the illustrations of the appended figures, in particular of Figures 1, 3 and 4, at least said second element 5 which is advantageously movable relative to said first element 2 may comprise, at its back 52, a gripping means 9, so as to facilitate the rotation of said second element 5, performed manually by a user, from its first “passing” position 71 to its second “blocking” position 72, and vice versa.

Such gripping means 9 can advantageously consist of a prominent rib, in the shape of an elongated S, thus allowing gripping between the thumb and the index finger of a user's hand, in order to facilitate the tilting of the movable element 5 between the two positions 71, 72, which it can take.

Most preferably, said flat plate 3 of the first element 2 also comprises, on its reverse side 32, a gripping means 10 so as to facilitate the rotation of said second element 5 from the first position 71 "of passage" towards the second position 72 "of blockage”.

The gripping means 10 on the first element 2 can, just like the gripping means 9 with which the second element 5 is provided, consist of a prominent rib, in the shape of an elongated S.

The presence of a prominent rib in the shape of an elongated S also allows stiffening of the element(s) 2, 5, in particular when these are made of a plastic material.

Indeed, in a particularly advantageous example of embodiment, said first element 2 as well as said second element 5 are made from a plastic material, more preferably still from a thermoplastic material.

It should also be noted that, interestingly, the first face, or front 31 of the first element 2 of the pairing device 1 of the invention, visible on the attached, can be decorated in different ways (screen printing, stickers, etc.).

Claims (9)

Device (1) for pairing two textile pieces together, in particular socks, characterized in that it comprises, at least, on the one hand, a first element (2) in the form of a flat plate (3 ), provided with a retaining means (4) for said textile pieces, said retaining means (4) being in the form of at least one slot (41) provided with a plurality of teeth (42) and open to one of its ends, and, on the other hand, a second element (5), pivotally linked to said first element (2), said second element (5) being movable around its axis (6) between at least one first position (71) called "passage" in which said at least one slot (41) of the first element (2) remains open allowing the passage of the two textile pieces to be paired in said slot (41), and a second position (72 ) called "blocking" in which said second element (5) closes said at least one slot (41) so as to block said two paired textile pieces in said at least least one slot (41). Device (1) for pairing two textile pieces according to Claim 1, characterized in that the said second element (5) is pivotally linked to the said first element (2) substantially at the center thereof. Device (1) for pairing two textile pieces according to Claim 1 or Claim 2, characterized in that the said flat plate (3) of the said first element (2) consists of a circular or substantially circular disk. Device (1) for pairing two textile pieces according to any one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the said retaining means consists of a single slot (41) provided with a plurality of teeth (42) and in that said second element (5) is in the form of a hook able to close this slot (41). Pairing device (1) for two textile pieces according to any one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the said first element (2) comprises means (8) for attaching the said pairing device (1) in particular to a sales display, with a rope or a washing line, on a drying tower or a tancarville-type drying rack. Pairing device (1) for two textile pieces according to claim 5, characterized in that said attachment means (8) of said pairing device (1) consists of a second slot (81) made in the upper part of said first element (2), said slot (81) being open at one of its ends and being provided with an eyelet (82). Device (1) for pairing two textile pieces according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that at least said second element (5) movable relative to said first element (2) comprises, on its reverse side (52), a gripping means (9) so as to facilitate the rotation of said second element (5) from the first “passage” position (71) to the second “blocking” position (72). Device (1) for pairing two textile pieces according to Claim 7, characterized in that the said flat plate (3) of the first element (2) also comprises, on its reverse side (32), a gripping means (10) so as to to facilitate the rotation of said second element (5) from the first “passing” position (71) to the second “blocking” position (72). Device (1) for pairing two textile pieces according to any one of Claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the said first element (2) and the said second element (5) are made of thermoplastic material.
