Procédé de fabrication d’article creux en verre, comprenant la réception d’un article en verre associé à une calotte à température supérieure à 100°C, la mise en mouvement de l’article en verre selon une direction de convoyage et en rotation sur lui-même autour d’un axe dudit article en verre, le déplacement d’un équipage mobile à distance sensiblement constante dudit article en verre, le repérage d’une position relative de l’équipage mobile par rapport à un bord dudit article en verre, la régulation de la distance entre l’équipage mobile et un bord dudit article en verre au cours de la rotation dudit article en verre et du déplacement conjoint de l’équipage mobile et dudit article en verre, des tirs d’un faisceau laser à partir d’une optique supportée par l’équipage mobile vers ledit bord dudit article en verre pour générer des trous et la séparation de la calotte et de l’article en verre.
