Abstract
L’invention concerne une machine magnétocalorique (1) pour générer de l’énergie thermique, comportant des éléments actifs (2) à base de matériau magnétocalorique, un arrangement magnétique (3) destiné à soumettre les éléments actifs (2) à un champ magnétique (H) variable, créant alternativement dans lesdits élément actif (2) un cycle magnétocalorique d'échauffement et un cycle magnétocalorique de refroidissement, et des organes caloporteurs (4) solides en contact thermique avec lesdits élément actif (2). Les éléments actifs (2) comportent chacun un empilement de lames (10) parallèles, et les organes caloporteurs (4) comportent chacun un empilement de plaques (11) parallèles, intercalées entre les lames (10) d’un élément actif (2) moyennant un jeu fonctionnel (J). La longueur des plaques (11) de l’organe caloporteur (4) est supérieure à la longueur des lames (10) de l’élément actif (2) de sorte que la partie émergente des plaques (11) de l’organe caloporteur (4) forme en tout ou partie au moins un échangeur de chaleur (6, 7) avec un dispositif externe. La machine comporte en outre un dispositif d’entrainement (5, 5’) couplé auxdites plaques (11) de l’organe caloporteur (4) ou auxdites lames (10) de l’élément actif (2) pour les déplacer en translation (T) alternative parallèlement à elles-mêmes de manière synchronisée avec les cycles magnétocaloriques.
