Abstract

The present invention relates to an outdoor shelter (100) of the garden shed type having a support structure (10) clad by a plurality of cladding panels (20) preferably having a thermal insulation function, in which said support structure ( 10) comprises a plurality of uprights (11) adapted to be fixed on a base (30), each upright (11) erecting substantially vertically with respect to said base (30) and comprising a metal section having on all or part of its length a first longitudinal groove (12) having a substantially U-shaped cross section sandwiching a side edge (21) of one of said trim panels (20) to hold said trim panel (20) in vertical position ) with said supporting structure (10).

Description

Outdoor shelter of the garden shed type having a load-bearing structure clad with a plurality of trim panels having a thermal insulation function

The present invention relates to the field of outdoor shelters.

The object of the present invention relates more particularly to an outdoor shelter having a load-bearing structure that is easy to assemble, does not require maintenance and preferably has good thermal insulation properties.

By outdoor shelter within the meaning of the present invention, is meant throughout the following description any type of shelter intended to be placed outside such as for example a garden shed, a shed, a technical room for a swimming pool, etc.

Prior art

Garden sheds are known in the state of the art.

Traditionally, such garden sheds are made of wood.

The Applicant observes that the wooden garden sheds are delivered with very complex installation instructions; such shelters are generally delivered on a pallet in the form of an assembly kit comprising numerous wooden panels to be assembled together.

For assembly, it is often necessary to be several people to move the pallet and handle each of the wooden panels.

After unpacking the package, the people in charge of assembly must be equipped and assemble each of the wooden panels with suitable screws.

The Applicant further observes that once erected the wooden shelter requires the application of a protective layer such as stain or paint to protect the wood.

In terms of maintenance, it is also necessary to provide for regular sanding followed by a new coat of stain or paint, ideally every year, to avoid premature wear of the wood.

The Applicant therefore submits that the installation and maintenance of wooden garden sheds are too restrictive for the end consumer.

The wooden shelters also have a design that is not very modern and therefore unattractive for this consumer.

There are now garden sheds in metal structure.

On the other hand, such shelters are often non-insulated and are presented as a simple assembly of sheets, the assembly of which requires specific tools.

For the above reasons, the Applicant considers that the solutions of the state of the art do not meet the expectations of consumers who are looking for a garden shed with modern and clean lines which must be both easy to be assembled, comfortable (in particular on the thermal level) and must require a minimum of maintenance.

The present invention aims to improve the situation described above.

The present invention aims more particularly to remedy the various drawbacks mentioned above by proposing an outdoor shelter of the garden shed type, easy to assemble, having a load-bearing structure covered by a plurality of cladding panels.

According to the present invention, the support structure comprises a plurality of uprights capable of being fixed on a base, each upright erecting substantially vertically with respect to the base and comprising a metal section having over all or part of its length a first longitudinal groove having a substantially U-shaped cross-section.

According to the present invention, such a U-shape makes it possible to sandwich a side edge of one of the trim panels to hold the latter in a vertical position with the supporting structure.

Thanks to the design of such a shelter and in particular the presence of these grooves, it becomes possible to ensure easy assembly of the shelter: it suffices to insert the edge of the trim panel into the first groove so as to that the branches of the U come to bear against the panel to hold the latter in position against the amount.

Advantageously, the trim panel comprises a multilayer structure with a main layer sandwiched between two peripheral layers.

In an advantageous embodiment of the present invention, the main layer is made at least partially of an insulating material providing a thermal insulation function.

Preferably, the insulating material is of the polyurethane type.

In another advantageous embodiment of the present invention which can be combined with the previous mode, at least one of the two peripheral layers is made at least partially of a light and weather-resistant material.

Preferably, at least one of the two peripheral layers is made of aluminium.

Such a multilayer structure with a main polyurethane layer sandwiched by two peripheral aluminum layers offers very good performance both thermally and in terms of weather and wear resistance.

Advantageously, at least one of the uprights is a corner post having two first longitudinal grooves.

Such a corner post is conventionally used to form one of the corners of the shelter.

Preferably, the first two grooves are arranged at right angles to one another.

Advantageously, the outdoor shelter according to the present invention comprises between two adjacent uprights a sole fixed to the base.

Preferably, such a sole has over all or part of its length a second longitudinal groove having a substantially U-shaped cross section receiving the lower edge of one of the trim panels.

Advantageously, the outdoor shelter according to the present invention comprises a seal between the sole and the base on the ground.

Preferably, the seal comprises a strip of compressed foam with at least one adhesive face providing attachment of the sole to the base.

Such an implementation ensures good sealing.

Advantageously, the base comprises a concrete base with a plurality of prepositioned fixing plates each defining a location for the uprights.

Preferably, each fixing plate is configured to receive the lower end of one of the uprights, at least one concrete screw ensuring the fixing between each of the plates and each of the uprights.

In an advantageous embodiment, each fixing plate comprises fixing lugs configured to be introduced into the internal volume of the profile and bear against the internal face of the profile.

Advantageously, the outdoor shelter according to the present invention comprises securing means arranged between each upright and each trim panel to secure each upright and each trim panel together.

According to a first variant, the securing means comprise a screw/nut system passing through the branches of the U of the profile and the side edge of the trim panel.

Preferably, each section has prepositioned holes over its entire length for the passage of the screw.

According to a second variant, the fastening means are implemented by the branches of the U which each comprise an edge curved towards the inside of the U and forming a flexible slat, the slats being configured to pinch the side edge of the trim panel during its introduction into the U of the profile.

Advantageously, the outdoor shelter according to the present invention comprises:

- flat roof with an inclined slope; and or

- a rainwater recovery gutter; and or

- a door ; and or

- at least one window.

Thanks to the various technical characteristics above, the present invention allows the design of an outdoor shelter that is easy to assemble, resistant, light and does not require any particular maintenance.

Such a shelter according to the present invention also offers thermal insulation which makes it comfortable and allows the storage of equipment and/or products sensitive to low temperatures as well as to high temperatures.

The present invention will now be described in the following with reference in conjunction to Figures 1 to 6 appended to the description.

For the record, one of the objectives of the present invention is to propose the design of an outdoor shelter that meets the requirements of the consumer: an outdoor shelter that is easy to assemble, comfortable, thermally insulated and requires no maintenance.

This is made possible in the context of the present invention thanks to the various technical characteristics which will be described below.

This example will relate to a garden shed 100 as illustrated in .

It is understood here that this is an example of embodiment among other possible ones and that the present invention is not limited to garden sheds but can be extended to any type of outdoor shelter.

In the example described here, the person in charge of assembling the garden shed 100, here called the fitter, first pours a concrete slab 31 on the ground to form the base 30.

Other implementations can be provided for base 30 formation.

In the example described, the prepositioning in this slab 31 of the fixing plate (not shown here) is considered.

In this example, the plates are configured to receive and ensure the fixing of the uprights 11 forming the supporting structure 10 of the shelter 100.

In this example, provision is made for the prepositioning of four plates for the anchoring of four uprights 11.

These uprights 11 have the characteristic of being made here in a light, robust material that is resistant to bad weather and mechanical shocks.

In this example, aluminum uprights 11 are selected.

In the example described here and as illustrated in particular in , each upright 11 has a specific structure.

In this example and as shown in , there is thus an upright 11 in the form of an aluminum profile having two first longitudinal grooves 12 at right angles to each other; that is to say forming an angle of 90°.

It is understood here that this first groove 12 has over all or part of its length a substantially U-shaped cross section.

This U-shape is characteristic of the present invention.

This makes it possible to sandwich a lateral edge 21 of one of said trim panels 20 to hold the trim panel 20 in vertical position with the support structure 10 as illustrated in .

It is understood here that the branches 12a of the U of the first groove 12 bear against the side edge 21 of the trim panel 20 to hold the latter in position against the supporting structure 10 when said edge 21 is in contact with the base. 12b of the U.

In the example described here, provision is also made for the fixing plates to comprise fixing lugs erected vertically so as to be able to engage in the internal volume 11a of the profile 11 and bear against the internal walls 11b of the profile. Reinforcing elements 11c are also provided in this internal volume 11a. These reinforcing elements 11c also have the function of facilitating the fixing of the profile with the plates.

Thus, in terms of assembly, after having made the concrete slab 31 and having positioned the fixing plates, the fitter fixes each of the uprights 11, here four corner posts 11, on each of the plates so that the posts 11 stand perpendicular to the slab 31. The fixing of the corner posts 11 with the fixing plates is done using concrete screws (not shown here).

After erecting poles 11 ( ), the fitter unrolls a strip of foam (not shown here) between each pair of adjacent uprights 11. This strip has an adhesive face ensuring the fixing of a sole 40 on the base 30.

The fitter, after unrolling this strip between two adjacent posts 11, can position a base plate 40 which he fixes to the slab 31 by screwing with concrete screws.

In the example described here, the sole 40 comprises a second longitudinal groove 41 having over all or part of its length a substantially U-shaped cross-section. Such a U is positioned so that the base of the U is against the strip of foam and the branches of the U are oriented upwards.

Such a U-shape makes it possible to receive the lower edge 22 of the trim panel 20.

The fitter, after having put in place the four corner posts 11 and the flange 40 between each post 11, can position the trim panels 20. All he has to do is insert the edges 21 of these panels 20 at the level of the U's of the first grooves 12; a pre-cutting of the panels 20 will possibly be necessary beforehand to take account of the distance between the two adjacent posts 11.

After inserting the panels 11, it suffices to slide them into the first grooves 12 until the lower edge 22 of the panel 20 is housed in the second groove 41 of the sole 40.

We understand here that such a configuration greatly facilitates assembly and that all of these operations can be carried out by a single person.

In the example described here, provision is made for the implementation of securing means 50 which are arranged between each post 11 and each trim panel 20 to secure each upright 11 and each trim panel 20 to each other.

Alternatively and as shown in , a screw/nut system 51 can be provided crossing the branches 12a of the U and the side edge 21 of each trim panel 20.

Preferably, the profile has in this variant holes 13 prepositioned over the entire length of the profile for the passage of the screws.

In another variant (not shown here), it is possible to provide that the securing means 50 are implemented by the branches of the U which each comprise an edge curved towards the inside of the U and forming a flexible strip. We understand here that the slats are then configured to pinch the side edge of the trim panel when it is introduced into the U of the profile.

Such a configuration makes it possible to have an automatic fastening system in which, once introduced into the U of the profile, the side edge 21 of the panel 20 is pinched in the U and thus remains housed in the first groove 12 without being able to be removed. this one.

The covering panel 20 illustrated in is also characteristic of the present invention.

This has a multi-layered structure ( ) with a main layer 20a sandwiched between two peripheral layers 20b.

In this example, the main layer 20a is made at least partially of an insulating material providing the thermal insulation function, here polyurethane, and the two peripheral layers 20b are made at least partially of a light and weather-resistant material, here aluminum.

The fitter thus carried out the pouring of the concrete slab 31, the fixing of the corner posts 11 vertically, the positioning of the footing and the covering of the load-bearing structure 10 with the covering panels 20.

In the example described here and illustrated in , it is also planned to install and put in place a flat roof 60 with an inclined slope, a rainwater recovery gutter, a double door 70 and one or more side windows (not shown here).

It will be understood here that other options may be considered depending on the configuration of the shelter desired by the end consumer.

Thus, the general concept of the invention is based on the manufacture of an outdoor shelter made with an aluminum supporting structure with a covering formed by panels of insulating material sandwiched with an aluminum structure. Such a sandwich panel provides perfect insulation and adaptability allowing custom manufacturing.

It should be noted that this detailed description relates to an exemplary embodiment

of the present invention, but that in no case this description is in any way limiting to the subject of the invention; on the contrary, it aims

to remove any possible inaccuracy or any misinterpretation of the claims which

Claims (18)

Outdoor shelter (100) of the garden shed type having a supporting structure (10) clad in a plurality of covering panels (20), in which said supporting structure (10) comprises a plurality of uprights (11) capable of being fixed on a base (30), each upright (11) erecting substantially vertically with respect to said base (30) and comprising a metal profile having over all or part of its length a first longitudinal groove (12) having a cross section substantially U-shaped sandwiching a side edge (21) of one of said trim panels (20) to maintain in vertical position said trim panel (20) with said support structure (10). Shelter (100) according to claim 1, wherein said trim panel (20) comprises a multi-layered structure with a main layer (20a) sandwiched between two peripheral layers (20b). Shelter (100) according to claim 2, in which the main layer (20a) consists at least partially of an insulating material providing a thermal insulation function. Shelter (100) according to claim 3, in which the insulating material is of the polyurethane type. Shelter (100) according to any one of Claims 2 to 4, in which the at least one of the two peripheral layers (20b) is made at least partially of a light and weather-resistant material. Shelter (100) according to Claim 5, in which the at least one of the two peripheral layers (20b) is made of aluminium. Shelter (100) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which at least one of the uprights (11) is a corner post having two first longitudinal grooves (12). Shelter (100) according to claim 7, in which the first two longitudinal grooves (12) are arranged at right angles to each other. Shelter (100) according to any one of the preceding claims, which comprises between two adjacent uprights (11) a sole (40) fixed to the base (30) and having over all or part of its length a second longitudinal groove (41) having a substantially U-shaped cross-section receiving the bottom edge (22) of one of said trim panels (20). Shelter (100) according to claim 9, which includes a seal between the sole and the ground base. Shelter (100) according to claim 10, wherein said gasket comprises a strip of compressed foam with at least one adhesive face securing the sole (40) to the base (30). Shelter (100) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the base (30) comprises a concrete plinth (31) with a plurality of prepositioned fixing plates each defining a location of the said uprights (11), each fixing plate being configured to receive the lower end of one of said uprights (11), at least one concrete screw ensuring the fixing between each of the plates and each of the uprights (11). Shelter (100) according to claim 12, in which each fixing plate comprises fixing lugs configured to be introduced into the internal volume (11a) of the profile and bear against the internal face (11b) of the profile. Shelter (100) according to any one of the preceding claims, which comprises securing means (50) arranged between each upright (11) and each trim panel (20) to secure each upright (11) and each trim panel (20). Shelter (100) according to claim 14, in which the fastening means (50) comprise a screw/nut system (51) passing through the branches of the U of the profile and the lateral edge (21) of the said trim panel (20). Shelter (100) according to claim 15, in which each profile has holes (13) prepositioned over the entire length of the profile for the passage of said screw. Shelter (100) according to Claim 14, in which the securing means (50) are implemented by the branches of the U which each comprise an edge curved towards the inside of the U and forming a flexible strip, the strips being configured to pinch the side edge of the trim panel when inserting it into the U of the profile. A shelter (100) according to any preceding claim, which comprises:
- a flat roof (60) with an inclined slope; and or
- a rainwater recovery gutter; and or
- A single or double door (70); and or
- at least one window.
