L'invention porte sur un procédé de pilotage d'une chaîne de traction (10) d'un véhicule automobile comportant: - un moteur thermique (11), - un moteur électrique de traction (12), - une boîte de vitesses (15) automatique ayant plusieurs rapports de vitesses, - un embrayage (16), dit embrayage d'interconnexion moteur, interposé entre le moteur thermique (11) et le moteur électrique de traction (12), - le procédé comportant, alors que l'embrayage d'interconnexion moteur (16) est dans un état fermé: - une étape (101) de demande d'ouverture de l'embrayage d'interconnexion moteur, - une étape (102) de vérification d'au moins une condition d'autorisation d'ouverture de l'embrayage d'interconnexion moteur (16) suivant laquelle aucun changement de rapport de vitesse n'est en cours, et - une étape (103) d'ouverture de l'embrayage d'interconnexion moteur (16) si la condition d'ouverture de l'embrayage d'interconnexion moteur (16) est vérifiée.
