Abstract

La présente invention concerne un bloc de découpe (100) pour rondin de bois comportant : - un support (10) s’étendant dans un plan (P), dit plan de support, sensiblement perpendiculaire à un axe de découpe (A) dudit rondin de bois ; et - une pluralité de lames (20) sensiblement planes fixées au support (10) et s’étendant perpendiculairement au plan dudit support (P), chacune desdites lames (20) comprenant une arête tranchante (20a), les lames (20) étant disposées les unes par rapport aux autres pour former, en projection orthogonale sur le plan dudit support (P), une étoile dans laquelle les arêtes tranchantes (20a) sont dirigées en regard dudit axe de découpe (A) de sorte à fendre longitudinalement ledit rondin de bois en une pluralité d’échalas lorsque ledit rondin de bois est engagé longitudinalement dans ledit bloc de découpe (100) selon l’axe de découpe (A).
