Abstract

The subject of the invention is a swimming pool comprising a basin comprising: - a cylindrical outer wall (2), - a cylindrical inner wall (4), disposed inside the space defined by the outer wall (2), and - a bottom (6), tightly connected to the lower edges (16) of the outer (2) and inner (4) walls so that the space between the bottom (6), the outer wall (2) and the inner wall (4) forms the pool of the swimming pool.

Swimming pool comprising a cylindrical outer wall, a cylindrical inner wall and a bottom

The present invention relates to a swimming pool.

A swimming pool is an artificial, watertight basin, filled with water, the dimensions of which allow a human being to at least partially immerse themselves in it.

The training of swimmers and swimming competitions takes place in rectangular pools which can be of different lengths. Generally, the length of such basins is 25 meters, or 50 meters. Thus, the distances traveled are multiples of 25 or 50 meters corresponding to a predetermined number of lengths.

However, in competition, the maximum distance made without interruption by a swimmer is limited by the dimensions of the pool. Indeed, at the end of each length, competitive swimmers momentarily interrupt swimming movements to make a U-turn and a push against the wall.

Known pools do not allow a swimmer to travel exactly and simply a distance of his choice greater than the dimensions of the pool, for example 500 meters or 1 km, without interrupting swimming movements.

In addition, in known pools, swimmers train by going back and forth along water lines, which represents a risk of collision between swimmers, especially when the use of the pool is high.

The invention aims to remedy these drawbacks by proposing a swimming pool allowing a swimmer to make any predetermined course distance without interrupting swimming movements and without the risk of collision between swimmers.

To this end, the subject of the present invention is a swimming pool comprising a swimming pool comprising:

- a cylindrical outer wall,

- a cylindrical inner wall, arranged inside the space defined by the outer wall, and

-2- a bottom, tightly connected to the lower edges of the outer and inner walls so that the space between the bottom, the outer wall and the inner wall forms the pool of the pool.

Advantageously, the shape of the swimming pool is that of an uninterrupted loop allowing a swimmer to cover exactly and in a simple manner any predetermined distance without interrupting swimming movements.

In addition, the shape of the pool allows a large number of swimmers to train simultaneously on the same trajectory and in the same direction, which limits the size and the risk of collision between two swimmers.

The swimming pool according to the invention is therefore particularly suitable for endurance swimming.

The swimming pool according to the invention may also include one or more of the characteristics below, considered individually or in all technically possible combinations:

at least one wall is vertical;

the bottom, the outer wall and the inner wall are made of masonry; the height of the interior and exterior walls is greater than or equal to 80 cm;

the height of the interior and exterior walls is less than or equal to 5 meters;

the guide curve of the cylinder forming the inner wall and / or the outer wall comprises one or more rounded zones;

a reinforcement means adapted to the pressure constraints at the or each rounded zone and / or at the or each rectilinear zone of a wall;

at least two rigid arches disposed between the inner wall and the outer wall at a rounded area, each arc comprising at least one fixing means suitable for fixing a water line with floats connecting the arcs;

the guiding curve of the cylinder forming the inner wall comprises two substantially parallel rectilinear zones, connected to each other on either side by rounded zones;

the floor space occupied by the athletic track according to the second configuration is identical to the floor space occupied by the swimming pool basin according to the first configuration;

the bottom of the pool is adjustable in height;

the bottom of the pool is configured to support trays covering the pool so as to transform the pool into an athletic track; anchoring means arranged at the outer and inner walls, the anchoring means being suitable for fixing beams connecting the outer and inner walls, the beams making it possible to support trays

the boards include a marking, corresponding to the delimitation of athletic lanes, to a distance or turn mark;

the trays are covered with a non-slip material.

With reference to FIGS. 1 to 4 illustrating embodiments of the swimming pool according to the invention, the swimming pool comprises a basin comprising:

- a cylindrical outer wall 2,

- a cylindrical inner wall 4, disposed inside the space defined by the outer wall 2, and

- a bottom 6, tightly connected to the lower edges 16 of the outer 2 and inner 4 walls so that the space between the bottom 6, the outer wall 2 and the inner wall 4 forms the swimming pool basin.

Advantageously, the swimming pool has the shape of a closed loop which allows a swimmer to travel exactly and simply any predetermined distance without interrupting swimming movements.

In the sense of the invention, an “cylindrical” exterior or interior wall is a surface defined by a closed directing curve C and an infinity of generators D parallel to each other.

For the purposes of the invention, "the space defined by the outer wall 2" is the space defined by the guide curve C and the generators D of the outer wall 2.

The guiding curve C of a wall or of each wall may be circular or oval in shape, as illustrated in FIG. 1 or include one or more rectilinear zones and / or one or more rounded zones, as illustrated in Figures 2 and 3.

Generators D can be vertical, as illustrated in FIG. 1, or oblique, so each wall can have the shape of a straight vertical cylinder or an oblique cylinder.

According to an embodiment illustrated in Figures 2 and 3, the guide curve C of the cylinder forming the inner wall 4 comprises two rectilinear zones 8, 10 substantially parallel, interconnected on either side by rounded zones 12, 14 such as semicircles. Advantageously, the rectilinear zones 8, 10 and the rounded zones 12, 14 of the interior wall 4 make it possible to optimize the trajectory, the comfort and the average speed attainable by a swimmer traversing a complete loop along the interior wall 4.

According to certain embodiments, the rectilinear zones 8, 10 of the internal wall 4 are parallel and of the same dimension and the rounded zones 12, 14 of the internal wall 4 are of the same shape and of the same dimensions.

According to certain embodiments, the spacing between the exterior wall 2 and the interior wall 4, corresponding to the width of the basin, is substantially uniform along the interior wall 4. Advantageously, the uniformity of the spacing between the wall outer 2 and the inner wall 4 allows to fully divide the pool into a plurality of swimming lanes, each lane also being of substantially uniform width.

-6The outer wall 2 and the inner wall 4 each have a lower edge 16 and an upper edge 18. The upper edge 18 of each wall is located at ground level, the ground being intended to remain emerged when the basin is filled with water. According to certain embodiments, the ground is flat, that is to say substantially horizontal, along the upper edge 18 of at least one wall.

The outer wall 2 and the inner wall 4 each have a finite height h corresponding to the vertical distance separating their lower edge 16 from their upper edge 18. According to certain embodiments, the height h of each wall is substantially uniform so that the pool depth is uniform.

According to one embodiment, the height h of at least one wall is greater than or equal to 80 cm. Advantageously, when the basin is filled with water, the water depth is greater than or equal to 80 cm near said wall. Thus, the basin is suitable for the practice of swimming near said wall.

According to one embodiment, the height h of at least one wall is less than or equal to 5 meters, preferably less than or equal to 2.5 meters. Advantageously, the volume of water necessary to fill the pool is limited, the water depth being nevertheless sufficient for the practice of swimming or diving.

The bottom 6, the outer wall 2 and the inner wall 4 can be made of masonry. The bottom 6 can be horizontal, inclined, U-shaped or V-shaped. The pelvis can include one or more reinforcing means 20 adapted to the pressure constraints at the or each rounded area of a wall. The pelvis may include one or more additional reinforcing means 20 adapted to the pressure constraints at the level of or each rectilinear zone of a wall. Advantageously, the shape of the bottom 6 and the arrangement of the reinforcement means (s) 20 ensure the lasting tightness of the swimming pool basin.

The swimming pool can comprise at least two rigid arcs 22. Each rigid arc 22 connects an area located in the closed space delimited by the interior wall 4 of the basin to a zone located outside the closed space delimited by the exterior wall 2 of the pelvis. Each rigid arc 22 extends overhead above

-7 upper edges of the outer wall 2 and the inner wall 4, preferably at least 50 cm above the pelvis. Each arc 22 further comprises at least one fixing means 24 suitable for fixing a water line with floats, so that the water line connects the arcs 22. The number and spacing of the rigid arcs are adapted according to the radius of curvature of the outer wall 2 and the inner wall 4 so that the water line with floats delimits swimming lanes of substantially uniform width. Advantageously, the water lines with floats physically delimit swimming lanes and are fixed so as not to hinder the movements of swimmers.

The swimming pool may include at least one rope suspended above the pool, preferably at least 50 cm above the pool, and corresponding to a distance marker, a turn marker or the signal of a false start.

The bottom 6 of the pool may include a marking corresponding to the delimitation of swimming lanes, to a starting line, to a finishing line, to a distance mark or to a turn mark. Advantageously, the rope and / or the markings make it possible to inform the swimmers.

An example of marking the bottom 6 of the pool and / or provided via suspended ropes may correspond to the delimitation of 7 swimming lanes, with lane 1 performing a loop along the interior wall 4, lane 2 performing a loop around from lane 1 and so on to lane 7 looping around lane 6 and along the outer wall 2. The width of the swim lanes can be uniform, or more important in a rounded area of a wall only at the level of a rectilinear zone of a wall in order to facilitate the movement of a swimmer in a turn. The width of the lanes is also adapted to at least one type of swimming. For example, a lane width of the order of 2.5 m is sufficient for the practice of crawl, while for a stroke such as breaststroke causing more bulk, a lane width of at least 2.8 m is more suitable. For each lane, reference lines or distance lines can be marked in order to scale the distance traveled by a swimmer in said lane, which can thus easily determine the distance actually traveled. These distance lines can be positioned for example every 50

Each reference line or distance line is located one meter from the interior wall 4 in the case of corridor 1 and in the case of the other corridors, one meter from the interior edge of said corridor, that is to say the edge closest to the interior wall 4. This margin of one meter makes it possible to take into account the space requirement linked to certain strokes such as the butterfly or breaststroke.

The pool may include one or more obstacles (not shown) located inside the pool. The or each obstacle has an upper edge intended to remain emerged and a lower edge intended to be immersed.

As illustrated in FIG. 4, at least one wall may comprise one or more fixing means 26 intended to allow the fixing of a diving board. Advantageously, a diving board can be attached, allowing a swimmer to dive into the pool. The fixing means 26 can be adapted for fixing retractable diving boards, for example retractable by sliding.

The swimming pool can have a first configuration, according to which the swimming pool basin is filled with water so as to be usable for the practice of swimming.

In addition, the swimming pool can have a second configuration, according to which the swimming pool basin is covered by an athletic track. According to certain embodiments, the floor space occupied by the athletic track according to the second configuration is identical to the floor space occupied by the swimming pool basin according to the first configuration.

Advantageously, the same floor area can be used for both swimming and athletics.

In the second configuration, the athletic track can be formed of a plurality of plates. The athletic track may include a marking, corresponding to the delimitation of athletic lanes, to a distance or turn marker. In addition, the running track can be covered with non-slip material. Short runs (200 m or less) require tight turns, in other words, a small radius of curvature. It can be difficult for an athlete to control his trajectory in such turns. To overcome this difficulty, the arrangement and / or the shape of the trays forming the athletic track can be chosen so that the turns are raised, which makes it easier for an athlete to control his trajectory in the turns.

The transformation of the swimming pool from the first configuration to the second configuration can for example be carried out according to one of the two embodiments described below, the transformation of course being reversible.

According to a first embodiment, anchoring means 28 (not shown), such as orifices, are arranged at the level of the external wall 2 and of the internal wall 4. The anchoring means 28 are adapted to the fixing of beams connecting the outer wall 2 to the inner wall 4, the beams making it possible to support plates covering the swimming pool basin so as to transform the swimming pool into an athletics track.

According to a second embodiment, the bottom 6 of the basin is adjustable in height, for example up to the level of the upper edge of the outer wall 2 and of the inner wall 4. The bottom 6 is further configured to support trays covering the pool to transform the pool into an athletics track.

The invention has been described above using the embodiments presented in the figures, without limitation of the general inventive concept.

Many other modifications and variations suggest themselves to those skilled in the art, after reflection on the different embodiments illustrated in this application.
