Abstract

This floating raft consists of a rigid unsinkable rectangular plate 2 made preferably of possibly thermoformable synthetic material provided along its longitudinal edges with two stabilising bolsters 3 integral with said plate. The bolsters 3 form a body with the lower face of the plate 2 and are moulded integral with the latter.

Description

FLOATING BEACH
The present invention relates to a floating beach.

 The boom in nautical leisure has resulted in an increasing number of beaches, especially during holidays. It is therefore becoming more and more desirable to be able to have, even at the time when the beaches are the most congested, means making it possible to escape from the crowd without sacrificing the pleasures of relaxation.

 The invention is intended to meet this need by providing a floating beach allowing to enjoy, a few meters from the shore, the benefits of water and sun while providing amenities to its user.

 Thus the floating pad according to the invention essentially consists of a rigid rectangular insubmersible tray preferably made of synthetic material possibly thermoformable provided along its longitudinal edges with two stabilizing rods integral with said tray.

 According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the strands are integral with the underside of the plate and come from molding with the latter.

 The unsinkable tray is advantageously a shell made of ABS resin or of a polyester resin into which a plastic foam of the polyurethane, polystyrene or similar type is injected.

 According to another embodiment, the tray is shaped from a polystyrene bar, on which is molded a shell made of ADS, or polyester resin.

 The unsinkable tray is advantageously equipped with boxes allowing the storage of elements used both for comfort (drink, parasol), and for navigation (anti-drift anchor, ladder, oars ...).

 According to another characteristic of the invention, the tray comprises means for anchoring and fixing the elements stored in the boxes.

 According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, a backrest adjustable in inclination is provided and fixed to the tray.

 In the figures, (1) generally designates the floating deck, (2) the rigid insubmersible rigid plate, (3) the stabilizing tubes, (4), (5) and (6) the boxes provided for the storage of the various accessories.

 The floating deck (1) according to the invention essentially consists of the rigid insubmersible rectangular plate (2). In the embodiment described in the example, it is a rigid element about 2 meters long by 0.80 meters wide and comprising, over its entire length two stabilizing flanges (3) of O meter 20 thick.

 This plate (2) is made of thermoformable resin; it is an ABS resin shell formed so that the stabilizer tubes (3) are integral with the underside of said plate (2) and come from molding with the latter.

 A plastic foam, polyurethane or polystyrene type is injected inside this shell.

 I1 is obvious that, without departing from the scope of the invention, the shell could be made of any other thermoformable resin and for example, polyester resin or any other suitable thermoformable composite material.

 The plate (2) and the tubes (3) can also be formed in a block of rigid plastic foam, of polyurethane or polystyrene type.

 Several boxes are provided in the tray (2). Thus is formed over the width of the plate and at one of its ends a first box (4) of small thickness intended to receive a ladder (7) provided to allow the bather to easily go back up on the floating beach (i).

 Two other boxes (5) and (6) are provided in the length of the stabilizing tubes (3).

 The box (5) is designed to receive the anti-drift anchor (8), the strand (9) of which is integral with the pad (1).

 This box (5) is also designed to receive a pair of oars (10) allowing easy movement of the beach, as well as a parasol (11).

 Anchoring and fixing means (12) are provided on the plate (2) so as to allow both the fitting of the parasol rod (11) and the introduction of sticks (13) ensuring the placement of the pair oars (10).

 The box (6) is more specifically designed to receive food and / or drinks, the insulating nature of the material constituting the tray and the tubes ensuring perfect freshness of these products.

 The tray (2) is further equipped with a backrest (14) movable around the axis (15) and adjustable in inclination so as to allow the user to adopt the sitting position, ia lying position or any position intermediate. The backrest (14) is made of any suitable material and preferably of a material similar to that which constitutes the plate (2).

 The side faces of the panel (2) are equipped with handles (16) allowing the user to hang onto said tray; they can also be used to join several floating areas.

 As is obvious and as follows from the foregoing, the invention is not limited to the single embodiment described above by way of nonlimiting example; on the contrary, it embraces all the variants thereof, whatever in particular the nature of the thermoformable resin, that of the injected foam, the number and arrangement of the accessories equipping the floating beach (1).

- CLAIMS  1- Floating deck, characterized in that it essentially consists of a rigid rectangular unsinkable tray (2) preferably made of synthetic material, possibly thermoformable, provided along its longitudinal edges with two stabilizing flanges (3) integral with said tray.  2- floating beach according to claim I, characterized in that the flanges (3) are integral with the underside of the plate (2) and come from molding with the latter.  3- floating beach according to claim 1 and claim 2, characterized in that the unsinkable plate (2) is advantageously a shell in ABS resin or in a polyester resin in which is injected a plastic foam of the polyurethane, polystyrene or similar type.  4- floating beach according to claim 1 and claim 2, characterized in that the plate (2) is shaped from a polystyrene bar, on which is molded a shell, ADS, or polyester resin.  5- floating beach according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the unsinkable tray (2) is advantageously equipped with boxes (4,5,6) allowing the storage of elements serving both for comfort and to navigation.  6- floating beach, according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the plate comprises anchoring and fixing means (12) of the elements stored in the boxes.  7- Floating deck according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that a backrest (14) adjustable in inclination is provided and fixed to the plate (2).  8- Floating deck according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the plate advantageously comprises on its lateral faces handles (16) used both for its transport and to facilitate the joining of two similar plates.
