Abstract

Cette fixation comprend une platine avant (2), destinée à être solidarisée au ski, un ensemble avant (3) d'immobilisation de la chaussure, apte à coopérer avec la semelle de la chaussure un ensemble arrière de retenue de la chaussure, apte à coopérer avec un ergot de retenue de la partie arrière de la semelle avant et/ou avec la semelle arrière, cet ensemble arrière étant mobile par rapport à ladite platine avant dans le plan vertical, et des moyens de mise en tension qui agissent entre l'ensemble arrière de retenue et le ski et/ou la platine avant (2), qui sont aptes à assurer la mise en tension de la chaussure sur la fixation et à permettre au talon d'être librement soulevé. Selon l'invention l'ensemble avant d'immobilisation est monté flottant sur la platine avant, autour d'un axe transversal de pivotement situé, en vue longitudinale, devant un point dit d'appui appartenant à l'ensemble avant, ce point d'appui permettant l'appui de l'extrémité avant de la semelle de la chaussure. Ce caractère flottant permet de réduire substantiellement les contraintes exercées sur la fixation conforme à l'invention, ainsi que sur la chaussure immobilisée par cette fixation.
