Abstract

Description

Presentation cabinet

It is known to provide display cabinets for items sold in small, medium or large areas. It is also known to provide these cabinets in the form of refrigerated air display cases, in particular for articles which must be stored in a cool place. Certain patent applications thus deal with the design / arrangement of the shelves inside said cabinets. For example, patent applications EP1547492A2 and W0200908999A1 propose cabinets whose interior arrangement aims to improve the circulation of fresh air.

However, the arrangements disclosed in these patent applications do not offer optimal visibility of the content of these cabinets, nor sufficient storage capacity.

One of the objectives of the invention is to provide a presentation cabinet which ensures good visibility of its content while having a storage capacity suitable for sales in small, medium or large areas.

Thus, the invention relates to a display cabinet intended for the storage of food articles, the cabinet comprising a plurality of shelves, the cabinet having a main extension direction, called the height of the cabinet, the shelves being distributed on the height of the cabinet, each shelf being separated from the previous and / or the next along the height of the cabinet by an empty space intended to receive at least one of the articles, said height being confused with the direction Z of an orthonormal reference (X, Y, Z) attached to the cabinet.

According to the invention, the plurality of shelves separates into at least two groups of shelves, each of the two groups of shelves comprising shelves of the same depth, the depth of a shelf being measured along the direction Y of said orthonormal reference, the first group of shelves having a first depth which is greater than the depth of the shelves of the second group of shelves, known as the second depth, said cabinet further comprising a support strip capable of carrying a first presentation of information, said support strip marking a separation between the two groups of shelves along the direction Z.

The invention display cabinet includes two groups of shelves. Each of these two groups of shelves has shelves that have the same depth. However, the two depths are different and this has the advantage of shifting one part of the cabinet relative to the other.

In addition, a support strip intended for an information presentation is provided between these two parts of the cabinet in order, for example, to give clear indications of the contents of said cabinet, for example consumer products.

The difference between the two groups of shelves also has the advantage of improving the direct view of its content. Indeed, the withdrawal of part of the shelves allows the user to better visualize the content of the shelves, for example those that are advanced relative to the others.

On the other hand, the shelves remain relatively substantial depths. In other words, the invention does not propose a solution in which the shelves have a regularly reduced depth as one moves along the height of the cabinet. This has the additional advantage of offering a large amount of storage space.

Thus, the presentation cabinet of the invention ensures good visibility of its content while having a storage capacity suitable in particular for sales in small, medium or large areas.

According to different embodiments of the invention, which can be taken together or separately:

- when the cabinet is supported on the floor, the first group of shelves is closer to the floor than the second group of shelves, said support strip being positioned between the two groups of shelves,

- said support strip is held in position by a fixing on one of said shelves,

- said support strip is held in position by a magnetic and / or mechanical attachment and / or bonding to one of said shelves, in particular a shelf from the second group of shelves,

- the ratio of the second depth to the first depth is in the interval [0.4; 0.9]

- the first group of shelves includes one or two shelves and the second group of shelves includes three or four,

- said shelves are substantially coplanar with the plane (X, Y) of said orthonormal reference frame,

- said support strip is inclined relative to said plane (X, Y) so as to facilitate an external user reading the first presentation of information carried by said support strip,

the cabinet of the invention further comprises at least one shelf inclined relative to said plane (X, Y), said inclined shelf preferably belonging to the second group of shelves,

the cabinet of the invention further comprises dividers which extend along the direction Z of said orthonormal reference frame (X, Y, Z), said dividers serving to support a second presentation of information and / or holding the support strip in position,

- the cabinet of the invention is refrigerated,

- the cabinet of the invention is intended to keep said items cool.

This figure illustrates a presentation cabinet intended for the storage of food articles, the cabinet comprising a plurality of shelves all having the same depth. The user in front will have difficulty viewing the content of certain floors of this cabinet, for example the content of the floors marked 2 and 7 in said figure. On the other hand, in the case of this presentation cabinet, the user is not guided; it is not easy for him to view the contents of such a cabinet.

FIG. 2a schematically illustrates a first embodiment of a cabinet 10 according to the invention, seen from the side, so as to make a comparison with the prior art illustrated in FIG. 1.

In this figure, the presentation cabinet 10 intended for the storage of food items A (see FIG. 2c) comprises a plurality of shelves 21, 22.

The term “presentation cabinet” means a piece of furniture with several floors or levels, comprising in particular a door 12, in particular transparent (see FIG. 5a, 6 or 7). By "presentation cabinet" is also meant a display cabinet.

The "storage" is here carried out with the aim of selling said article A.

By "shelf" is meant shelf, rack and / or shelving.

Here, the food articles A will for example be cheese, dairy or other articles which must be kept cool after packaging, for example again, cold meats. This list of food items A is not exhaustive and the cabinet of the invention may be used with any other type of food item, in particular drinks or items which are usually stored at room temperature, in particular dry.

The cabinet 10 will advantageously have a main extension direction, called the height of the cabinet 10, the shelves 21, 22 being distributed over the height of the cabinet 10, each shelf 21, 22 being separated from the previous one and / or of the next one along the height of the cabinet 10 by an empty space intended to receive at least one of the articles A.

The term “main extension direction” is understood to mean a direction in which a height of the cabinet 10 is measured, although said height can sometimes be less than the width of said cabinet 10.

For example, this height will advantageously be between 1 meter and 2.5 meters; it will preferably be around 2 meters.

By way of clarification, said height coincides with the direction Z of an orthonormal reference (X, Y, Z) attached to the cabinet 10 (see FIGS. 2a, 3, 4, 5a and 7) and the width of the above mentioned cabinet will be measured along the X direction.

According to the invention, the plurality of shelves 21, 22 separates into at least two groups of shelves G1, G2, each of the two groups of shelves G1, G2 comprising shelves of the same depth.

In the versions illustrated in FIGS. 2a, 4, 5a, 6 and 7, the first group of shelves G1 comprises two shelves 21 and the second group of shelves G2 comprises four. These figures are not limitative. The first group G1 may include between one and eight shelves 21, without departing from the scope of the invention; similarly, the second group G2 may include between two and eight shelves 22, without departing from the scope of the invention.

The depth of a shelf 21, 22 will be measured along the direction Y of said orthonormal coordinate system. Thus, in FIG. 7, the depth of the shelf marked 224 which belongs to group G2 and which is illustrated slightly inclined in the plane of the sheet - coincident with the plane (Y, Z) of the orthonormal coordinate system - will be measured along in the direction Y is will be equal to the depth of the shelves marked 221, 222 and 223 which belong to the same group G2 but which are themselves not inclined in said plane (Y, Z).

By "inclined" is meant not orthogonal to the Z axis, or even not coplanar to the plane (X, Y).

Advantageously, the first group of shelves G1 will have a first depth P1 which is greater than the depth of the shelves 22 of the second group of shelves G2, called the second depth P2 (see in particular FIG. 7).

Advantageously, again, the ratio of the second depth P2 to the first depth P1 is included in the interval [0.4; 0.9]. By way of example, the first depth P1 will be between 30 and 50 cm and will preferably be of the order of 40 cm; while the second depth P2 will be between 40 and 60 cm and will preferably be of the order of 50 cm.

Thus, the cabinet 10 is divided into two parts, with one part set back relative to the other, in particular along the Y axis (see FIG. 2a), which allows a user to increase the number floors easily visible to an outside user. In other words, the depth offset within the cabinet 10, in particular in two separate zones, has the advantage of increasing the chances that the user will take the time to detail all of the articles that it contains. In other words, the arrangement of the shelves 21, 22 in two groups G1, G2 eliminates any pre-existing visual break, as for example in the case of the cabinet illustrated in FIG. 1.

An additional advantage consists in improving the lighting of the different floors, said lighting being improved by the withdrawal of the shelves 22 of the second group G2 compared to those of the first group G1 when the arrangement is close to that illustrated in the figure. 6.

Indeed, as illustrated in this figure, the light source S can, with the arrangement according to the invention, illuminate an additional zone L which is located in front of the shelves 22 of the second group G2 and thus further improve the visibility of the content of said shelves 22. This improvement is due, in particular, to the increase in the volume of lighting between the visible ends of the shelves 21, 22 and a possible transparent wall 12 provided in front.

By way of example, this wall 12, illustrated schematically in FIG. 6, will serve as a showcase, or a door, according to the needs of the buyer of the cabinet 10.

Said door, or wall 12, when it is present on the cabinet 10, contributes to improving the visibility inside the cabinet 10, in particular by reflecting part of the light emitted by the light source S towards the inside of the cabinet

According to the invention, again, said cabinet 10 comprises a support strip 30 capable of carrying a first presentation of information 31, said support strip 30 marking a separation between the two groups of shelves G1, G2 along the direction Z ( see in particular figure 3, 4 or 7).

“Support strip” is understood to mean a rigid or semi-rigid mechanical element capable of carrying an information presentation 31. In other words, the support strip 30 is designed so that an information presentation 31 which would appear under the shape of a cardboard, a printed sheet, a sticker and / or any other form of communication, in particular commercial, is positioned and maintained in position on said support strip 30. Still in other words, the support strip 30 proposes a surface, or advertising space, which is integrated within a cabinet, or display case, so as to support a communication medium called, here, presentation of information 31.

As an alternative, the support strip 30 and the presentation of information 31 will be confused, in particular in the case where the support strip 30 is engraved with information in relief, and / or in hollow, in particular at one of its surfaces, that visible to an outside user.

It is interesting to note that the support strip 30 can be made of plastic, for example polyvinyl chloride (PVC), metallic material, for example aluminum, or even wood.

It is interesting to note that the width of the support strip 30, measured along the axis X, may be between 40 and 150 cm; it will in particular be equal, for example, to 60 cm or to 125 cm. It is also interesting to note that the depth of the support strip 30, measured along the Y axis when the support strip 30 is measured flat, especially in the plane (X, Y), may be between 3 and 10 cm; it could be equal, for example, to 5 cm or 6 cm.

The positioning and holding in position of the presentation of information 31 on the support strip 30 can be carried out by any known assembly means, such as sliding inside a plastic strip or semi-permanent clipping . To do this, a folded strip, in particular of PVC type plastic, can be attached to the support strip 30 and thus serve as a slide like a label holder. The support strip 30 can also serve as a support for a thin digital screen, without departing from the scope of the invention.

The support strip 30 is similar to a dumb seller. This strip 30, or support module 30, separates the two groups of shelves G1, G2 by giving information and leaving free the field of vision V1 of a user who would like to view the content of a shelf 21 which is would find further down the Z axis see Figure 3. This Figure 3 shows the fields of vision V1, Vi and V2 which illustrate that the arrangement inside the cabinet 10 helps to increase visibility of its content; Vi is the intermediate field of vision between the first and second fields of vision V1, V2. Vi points to the support strip 30, or support module 30.

The combination of the following two characteristics is particularly advantageous:

- the depth shift between two groups of shelves G1, G2, and

- the presence of a support strip 30 for presentation of information 31.

Indeed, the user visualizes the content of all the floors of this cabinet 10, effortlessly, and this same user is guided in his analysis of the food items that the cabinet 10 offers by information judiciously placed to be read from 'at a glance: those carried by the support strip 30 (see field of vision marked Vi in Figure 3).

By way of clarification, and as illustrated in FIGS. 2a, 3, 4, 5a, 6 and 7, when the cabinet 10 is supported on the ground S (see FIGS. 3 and / or 5a), the first group of shelves G1 is closer to the ground than the second group of shelves G2, said support strip 30 being positioned between the two groups of shelves G1, G2.

For clarification, again, said support strip 30 is held in position by a fixing on one of said shelves 21, 22. This fixing may be magnetic and / or mechanical and / or bonding and / or any other means capable of ensuring such a fixing on one of these shelves 21, 22, in particular a shelf of the second group of shelves 22.

Whatever the fixation chosen, it will advantageously be easy; it will advantageously be done without the aid of external tools, so that an assembly operator takes a reduced time to install said support strip 30.

It can also be done by welding in the factory, or by bolting in the factory or at the place of its installation.

The depth of the shelf 22 of the second group G2, taken together with the depth of the support strip 30, when the support strip 30 is fixed to a shelf 22 of the second group G2, will not exceed, or little (a few centimeters), the depth of the shelf 21 of the first group G1 directly adjacent. Thus, the content of the shelf 21 of the first group G1 directly adjacent will remain visible to an outside user.

As an alternative, the support strip 30 may be equipped with a light strip, of the light emitting diode (LED) or neon strip type. This will have the advantage of further improving the visibility of the content of the shelves 21, 22 in the vicinity of the support strip 30.

Figures 5a, 5b and 5c give an example of magnetic attachment. This attachment comprises two magnets 32, for example magnets 32 capable of supporting a load whose mass can go up to 50kg. It is interesting to note that the support strip 30, or reading strip 30, is compatible with a label holder 33, 33 ’. In other words, the support strip 30 does not hide or replace the traditional label holders 33, 33 'provided at the ends of the shelves 21, 22 of such cabinets (see FIG. 5c).

In FIGS. 5a, 5b and 5c, as in FIGS. 6 and 7, the exemplary embodiments present a support strip 30 inclined relative to said plane (X, Y) so as to facilitate an external user reading the first presentation 31.

Alternatively, the support strip 30, and therefore the first presentation of information 31 may also be provided coplanar with the plane (X, Y), without departing from the scope of the invention - see illustrations in FIGS. 2b and 2c.

The choice between the inclined version and the coplanar version on the plane (X, Y) will be at the discretion of the buyer of the cabinet 10. Whatever this choice is, the separation that constitutes said support strip 30 between the two groups d 'shelves G1, G2 does not prevent the visibility, for an outside user, of the articles placed on the shelf directly below, in particular when the cabinet 10 is supported on the ground S; see for example the shelf marked 212 in FIG. 7.

By "coplanar to the plane (X, Y)" is meant, parallel to the plane (X, Y).

By "inclined relative to the plane (X, Y)" is meant an inclination in the plane (Y, Z) which is also that of the sheet. In other words, the version coplanar to the plane (X, Y) is a version which is orthogonal to the axis Z in said plane (Y, Z).

FIG. 4 illustrates is an exemplary embodiment in which the first group of shelves G1 comprises two shelves 21 and the second group of shelves G2 comprises four. In this example, again, the shelves 21, 22 are substantially coplanar with the plane (X, Y) of the orthonormal reference frame.

Advantageously, the cabinet of the invention may include, as illustrated in this figure, dividers 41 which extend along the direction Z of said orthonormal reference frame (X, Y, Z). Said separators 41 can be used to delimit sales areas vertically; we then speak of separating cheeks 41.

Said separators 41 may also serve as a support for a second presentation of information 42. In this specific case, the information presentations 42 will be oriented along the axis Z, vertically, and will protrude from the end of the separating cheeks 41. These second information presentations 42 will therefore complement the first information presentations 31, for example to serve as a reading page. The separating cheeks 41, at the location of said second information presentations 42, may be made in one piece with said information presentations 42 so as to form a single and unique separator / information presenter panel.

The separating cheeks 41 can also be used to hold the support strip 30 in position, in particular if the latter is not directly fixed to a shelf 21, 22 as described above. The separating cheeks 41 may also serve to reinforce the holding in position of the support strip 30, in collaboration with at least one of the fixings to a shelf 21, 22 as described above.

It is interesting to note that the separators 41, 42 can be made of plastic, for example thermoplastic, transparent or opaque, such as polymethyl methacrylate.

On the other hand, as illustrated in Figures 3 and 7, the cabinet of the invention 10 may include at least one shelf 224 inclined relative to said plane (X, Y), said inclined shelf 224 preferably belonging to the second group of shelves although this is not limiting.

This inclined shelf 224 may, moreover, be provided with a roller system facilitating the routing of the articles A which it carries towards the end of the shelf 224 which faces a user who is standing in front of the cabinet 10. Thus, the space usable for storing articles A in cabinet 10 is optimized.

It is interesting to note that the shelves 21, 22 can be assembled to the frame structure of the cabinet 10 by any known means. For example, via the end of the shelves 21, 22 which is not visible to an outside user, said end being hooked to a load bar (not illustrated here) on the bottom 11 of the cabinet 10 (see FIG. 5a ), or else on uprights 11 'passing through this bottom 11 (see FIG. 5b).

A flap fixing system may also be used, the flaps serving as brackets. Separate brackets may also be used, without departing from the scope of the invention.

The cabinet 10 of the invention which has just been described will find a particular application in the field of refrigerated cabinets. More specifically, the cabinet 10 of the invention is intended to keep said articles A cool.

The distance between the two groups of shelves G1, G2 of the cabinet 10, taken in combination with the presence of a reading strip 30 between these two groups of shelves G1, G2, will be advantageously adapted for cabinets 10 whose the width measured along the X axis is of the order of 40 cm, 60 cm, 125 cm or 133 cm.

It should be noted that alternative embodiments are of course possible. In particular, in an additional exemplary embodiment (not illustrated), the offset obtained by the variations in depth of different shelves 21, 22 can form more than two distinct groups, in particular three distinct groups, with a greater number of support strips 30, by example two support bands 30 for three distinct groups.
