The present invention relates to the field of interior fittings of vehicles, in particular motor vehicles.

A motor vehicle generally includes a dashboard, located at the front of the passenger compartment, and a center console, located between the seats of the front seats. The dashboard generally carries display devices and control buttons. The center console usually has control buttons, storage, cup holders or an armrest.

It is desirable that the interior arrangement of a motor vehicle is practical and ergonomic in order to facilitate the use of the vehicle and to ensure the comfort of the occupants of the vehicle.

One of the aims of the invention is to provide a vehicle interior fitting console which makes it possible to obtain an interior fitting which is practical and ergonomic.

To this end, the invention provides a vehicle interior layout console, comprising a display device comprising a display screen, a storage space configured to receive a portable electronic device and a hand rest arranged on the console. so that a user can rest the forearm, wrist and / or palm of the hand on the palm rest while touching the display screen.

The display screen, the storage space for a portable electronic device and the hand rest carried by the console allow these functions to be grouped in the same place in an ergonomic way. This can allow easy viewing of the display screen and the portable electronic device, and possibly easy interaction with one or the other, for example using the hand rest which provides support for the hand.

In particular embodiments, the console can include one or more of the following optional characteristics, taken individually or in any technically possible combination:

The upper surface 25 of the upper part 22 defines the upper surface of the console 10 as a whole.

The display device 30 comprises a display screen 32 mounted on the upper part 22, more particularly on the upper surface 25 of the upper part 22. The display screen 32 has a display surface 34 on which are generated images during operation of the display screen 32.

The display screen 32 is for example a liquid crystal screen or a screen with light-emitting diodes, in particular with light-emitting diodes. The display screen 32 is preferably a matrix screen, comprising a matrix of pixels.

Optionally, the display screen 32 is touch-sensitive to allow the entry of commands from a portable electronic device or from a functional vehicle system via the display screen 32.

The upper part 22 includes a storage space 38 configured to receive one or more objects.

The storage space 38 comprises a reception surface 40. The reception surface 40 is substantially horizontal. The storage surface 40 forms part of the upper surface 25.

The storage space 38 is configured to receive a portable electronic device 42, such as a mobile phone or a digital tablet.

The storage space 38 is located on the upper part 22 between the display screen 32 and the palm rest 36. The storage space 38 allows the portable electronic device 42 to be placed between the display screen 32 and the palm rest 36.

In the example illustrated, the storage space 38 partly extends under the hand rest 36. The latter here extends overhang above the storage space 38.
