Abstract

The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical management system that minimizes the risk of misidentification of products or inadequate reporting of supply requirements. Said system uses various equipment: container, cabinet, display, storage space, according to a management method based on a rotation of the containers and their use in pairs of container-box type. This method requires few steps compared to existing methods and systems.

Description

Technical area

The present invention relates to the field of inventory management and more particularly to the management by the so-called "Full-Empty" method of inventory of pharmaceutical products grouped in standardized batches.

Prior art

In the field of inventory management of pharmaceutical products in hospitals, systems are known which use lip trays (BAL) with the dimensional standard 600 cm x 400 cm, in which locations the products of variable size (for store pharmaceuticals) can be demarcated by using bulkhead combs. The combinations of crossing said combs are numerous, which is the strong point of this storage system. In addition, the BALs are placed in various load-bearing structures, and can most often open like drawers.

The management of a product reference is done by using at least two locations juxtaposed on the same line (Right EDR location and Left EG location) or the same column (Front EAV location and Rear EAR location), each location not being necessarily the same size.

The difference between these N (preferably two) locations is based on the information available regarding the pharmaceutical products contained. Thus, only one location (on the N-locations used) is initially identified (for example by means of N labels placed in a single mobile label holder), the others not being (the unlabeled locations serve as a reserve) . Thus, the identification is carried by the BAL on its front face or by the partitioning combs.

- 2 In the most common practice, the system uses only two locations (and two labels in a single mobile label holder) per product reference, and the management rule is as follows:

• dig into the identified location as long as it is not empty, then, • fill the identified location with suitable products from the other unidentified location serving as a reserve, OR move the label holder in front of the full location which was not yet identified, • take an identification label from the batch of labels in the label holder and indicate the need for supply using this label by placing it in a dedicated external location ( for example on a label storage table), • When the replenishment is delivered, replace the label of the table in the corresponding label holder.

It is obvious that such a system and such a method have major drawbacks and involve risks for both the practitioner and the patients. Indeed, filling from a reserve box or moving the label holders is likely to generate errors such as:

• labeling of a bad location in which products of color or shape very close to those targeted are present, • forgetting (for example in emergency situations) to signal the need for supply, which leads to minimum double labeling in the BAL

- 3 and more probably the filling with at best a surplus of products of the right reference or at worst with a wrong reference of products of color or shape very close to those targeted, • the repositioning of the label (during the delivery of the replenishment) from the reporting location (e.g. the table) in an incorrect label holder.

Statement of the invention

The present invention intends to remedy the aforementioned drawbacks by proposing on the one hand a reliable system, economical and advantageous in terms of health, and on the other hand by proposing a rapid management process, limiting the risks of errors of identification of products or inadequate reporting of supply needs.

The term "pharmaceutical" used in the text includes, among others: drugs, sterile medical devices (DMS) such as needles and syringes, non-sterile medical devices (MD).

Thus, the invention relates first of all to a container for the management of pharmaceutical products, in the form of a hollow body comprising an open upper part, a bottom wall and at least one side wall, said side wall having an interior surface. (or internal surface) and an external surface (or external surface) and being connected to said bottom wall, remarkable in that said side wall is provided at its free edge with at least one clipping system and comprises at level of

Advantageously, said clipping system is constituted by a combination of notches and pins.

The term “oriented towards” means that the internal (respectively external) information gathering means is arranged on the side of the internal surface (respectively external) of the side wall of the container.

Advantageously, the information gathering means is adapted to receive an information medium on which appears the information describing the content of the container.

For example, the information medium can be:

• a “magnet” type card, and the information gathering means can be a magnet locally integrated in the side wall of the container, or • the information gathering means can be a slot (opaque or not) in the side wall of the container and intended to receive a label, or • the information gathering means can be in the form of a guide rail intended to receive a liquid crystal screen (passive matrix LCD) ...

Preferably, the respective dimensions of the information gathering medium (s) and of the information carriers are chosen so that the information carrier extends beyond the information gathering means, beyond and in the direction of the free edge of the container.

Thus, the reception of information by reading the information medium is carried out by looking (towards said means of information collection) along an axis oriented relatively to the normal to the surface (internal or external)

The invention also relates to a box for the management of pharmaceutical products, remarkable in that it implements a primary container as described in the invention and serving as a base for said box, and a means for closing said primary container. Said closing means comprises a clipping system compatible with the clipping system of said primary container. Preferably, said closure means comprises a clipping system identical to the clipping system of said primary container. Advantageously, said closure means is designed to reveal at least a portion of at least one information carrier (received at the level of information gathering means of the primary container) associated with the box. Preferably, said closure means is designed to reveal at least a portion of at least one information carrier at its surface and / or lateral border (for example: on the lateral surface, facing the surface lateral, through the lateral border in the case of a counter-slot or against a label holder ...). Even more preferably, the information medium protrudes from the information gathering means beyond and in the direction of the free edge of the container, without exceeding the upper surface of said closing means (when the box is closed).

In addition, the invention provides that the container (s) and box (es) can be stored at at least one display. The storage display for the management of pharmaceutical products is remarkable in that it is adapted to receive at least one pair of storage elements consisting of a container and a box.

Advantageously, at least the containers constituting the bases of the storage elements (basic container and

- 6 primary container described below) of the same pair are of identical dimensions. According to the variants, the containers may be completely identical, or may have differences (for example: different information collection means and / or positioned differently).

Preferably, all the containers constituting said storage elements of the same pair are of identical dimensions. Even more preferably, the containers are arranged juxtaposed on said display.

Finally, the range of equipment provided for the management of pharmaceutical products is supplemented by the possibility of bringing together several displays (identical or not) within a storage space for the management of pharmaceutical products. This is remarkable in that it comprises at least one storage column comprising means for supporting a plurality of displays, said support means being stepped at a spacing at least equal to the depth of a closure means . In fact, the invention provides an improvement in the management of storage and supply requirements, inter alia, by the combined use of containers (and boxes) and optimized display units letting at least appear the portion of the information carrier (s). projecting beyond information gathering means at the lateral surface of the closure means.

Furthermore, the invention relates to a pharmaceutical product management method, remarkable in that it comprises, in order, the steps consisting, for any pair of storage elements (consisting of a base container and a box) at a display and / or storage space, cyclically to:

According to the invention, the supply is advantageously carried out in boxes. This practice avoids the loss, degradation or contamination of pharmaceutical products (compared to a delivery of open containers).

Obviously for its proper functioning, the implementation of the method begins on the basis of a stock comprising at least one container-box pair for which the base container contains at least one pharmaceutical product.

“Recycling” means any action (or combination of actions) adapted to the user's practice such as: throw away (container / single-use case), send to the supply service for a new filling (container / reusable box), use for a new use (except stock management). For example, a reusable container / box can be discarded after a certain number of re-uses.

The invention described has the important advantage of preventing any bad picking by the practitioner in an inappropriate box, since on the one hand the reserve boxes are closed, and on the other hand all the containers are identified via the supports of information.

Furthermore, the management system according to the invention makes it possible to set up a so-called “endowment” system, that is to say a system providing for a (pre-) defined quantity of products by specialty and sub- specialty (for example: drug n ° l with 50 units and drug n ° 2 with 30 units, needles of type l with 100 units and needles of type 2 with 200 units, etc. .).

Possibility of industrial application

It is clear that the method for managing pharmaceutical products according to the invention is particularly effective and makes it possible to minimize the risks of errors in identifying the products or of inadequate reports of supply needs, when it is implemented in a adapted system using the equipment described (container, cabinet, display, storage space), compared to existing processes and systems.

Of course, it is clear that the present invention is not limited to the sole embodiments described; on the contrary, it embraces all of the variant embodiments and applications respecting the same principle.
