L'invention a notamment pour objet un joint tournant électrique haute tension (200) comprenant : - une première et une seconde parties (210, 250), mobiles l'une par rapport à l'autre et formant une chambre interne fermée (202), chacune des deux parties comprenant au moins un connecteur électrique (212, 252) ; - au moins une piste électrique (224) reliée électriquement à un connecteur de l'une des deux parties et au moins un bloc frotteur (266) relié électriquement à un connecteur de l'autre des deux parties, le au moins un bloc frotteur coopérant avec la au moins une piste électrique pour établir un contact électrique, la au moins une piste électrique et le au moins un bloc frotteur étant logés dans la chambre interne fermée ; la chambre interne fermée (202) étant remplie d'un gaz d'isolation diélectrique ayant une rigidité diélectrique supérieure à celle de l'air environnant le joint tournant électrique.
