AND PUSH BUTTON The present invention relates generally to a storage unit with a drawer, a locking system and a push button, mounted on a motor vehicle.

It is known in the prior art of storage comprising a drawer.

Document FR 2 943 964 discloses a storage device integrated in a dashboard of a motor vehicle, comprising three distinct elements: a sliding drawer, a tilting front panel and a retractable cover. On the other hand, this system has in particular the disadvantage of comprising not very ergonomic gripping means and an impractical pull-out drawer.

An object of the present invention is to respond to the drawbacks of the prior art document mentioned above and in particular, first of all, to provide storage with a drawer, a locking system controlled by a button push button, whose ergonomics are adapted to be used by both the occupant and the driver, thanks to its great ease of extraction and use and its optimized ergonomics.

For this, a first aspect of the invention relates to the storage of a motor vehicle, comprising:

- a drawer having at least one position retracted into a dashboard of a motor vehicle and a position extended from the dashboard,

- a drawer locking mechanism comprising:

- a control unit and,

- at least one bolt, arranged to present at least:

a so-called locking position, in which the bolt is engaged with the dashboard in order to lock the drawer in the retracted position in the dashboard, and

- a so-called free position, in which the movement of the drawer is possible relative to the dashboard, the control member being arranged to cause the bolt to pass from the locking position to the free position, characterized in that the 'control member and the bolt are on board the drawer.

This allows for storage with a drawer and an efficient and inexpensive locking mechanism, the ergonomics of which are optimized, the extraction facilitated and the compact and reduced space requirement. The compact lock also keeps the storage closed in the event of an impact, for safety reasons. On board the control unit, such as the push button, and the bolt frees up space in the rest of the dashboard, and allows for a compact and simple design.

Advantageously, the control member is movable in a direction of movement of the drawer, and the bolt is movable in a transverse direction of the drawer.

This allows for storage with optimized and intuitive ergonomics, simple to use and space-saving, allowing space savings and better access in the event of maintenance.

The movement of the drawer is advantageously a translation along the running axis of the vehicle, or in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle.

This allows for efficient and intuitive storage.

Advantageously, the locking mechanism further comprises at least one ratchet system arranged to engage with a portion of the bolt in order to retain the bolt in the free position.

-3 This allows to offer storage with a blocking of the locking system to avoid interference and make the system particularly efficient and practical, without noise or jolts, or jamming during opening. Indeed, the bolt remains in the free position.

Advantageously, the locking mechanism further comprises a release boss secured to the dashboard, arranged to disengage the ratchet system when the ratchet system is engaged with the portion of the bolt.

This allows for storage with an efficient and inexpensive ratchet system. The boss makes it possible to “rearm” the system, and to put the latch in the locked position.

Advantageously, the ratchet system comprises a finger and a spring, and the bolt comprises a rocker.

This allows for storage with a ratchet of robust and simple design, whose assembly is simple and optimized.

Advantageously, the drawer comprises an extraction spring arranged to cause an extraction of the drawer when the drawer is in the retracted position and the bolt in the free position.

This allows for storage with assistance in opening or extracting the drawer, particularly ergonomic.

Advantageously, the bolt is arranged to be positioned on the front, close to the control member.

This provides storage with great ergonomics and ease of use, allowing the vehicle to move upmarket.

Advantageously, the locking mechanism further comprises a retractor, arranged to retract the bolt when it is

-4 controlled by the control member in order to bring the bolt in the free position, and the bolt and the retractor are arranged between a wall of the drawer and a drawer trim and are included in the overall height of the drawer.

This allows to offer storage with a compact and efficient design, with an improved aesthetic rendering and a modular design, allowing an upscale at an optimized cost.

The term “hubcap” means a decorative part visible from the passenger compartment and masking part of the drawer for aesthetic purposes and for a perfect finish.

The term "overall dimensions" of the drawer means that the bolt and the retractor do not exceed the overall dimensions of the drawer so that they do not interfere with the opening of the drawer, nor do they present d 'unsightly elements protruding from the drawer.

Advantageously, the control member comprises a control surface aligned with the hubcap.

This allows for storage with optimized ergonomics and a pleasant aesthetic rendering, while providing a surface that does not have a wedging area for the user.

This allows to offer a vehicle with efficient and robust storage, easy to use and intuitive and elegant aesthetic rendering.

Other characteristics and advantages of the present invention will appear more clearly on reading the detailed description which follows of an embodiment of the invention given by way of non-limiting example and illustrated by the appended drawings, wherein :

Figure 1 shows a view of storage from a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle, Figure 2 shows a detail view of a ratchet system and a bolt in a locked position, Figure 3 shows a detail view of the system ratchet and the bolt in a free position, Figure 4 shows a side view of the drawer.

FIG. 1 represents a dashboard 30 of a motor vehicle comprising a storage space with a drawer 10. The storage space further comprises a locking mechanism with a control member 11, such as a push button 11, and two bolts 14a, 14b. When the user, driver or passenger, presses the push button 11 along the X axis, a tongue 11a secured to the push button 11 abuts against a face 12 of a retractor 13, causing a set of gears (not shown) in rotation as well as the bolts 14a, 14b in translation along the axis Y. The bolts 14a, 14b are then retracted, in a free position. In other words, when the bolts 14a, 14b are retracted, the drawer 10 can move along the axis X without being blocked in the dashboard 30. A spring (not shown) assists the user in bringing out the slide 10 in translation along the X axis.

When the user presses the push button 11, engaging the retractor mechanism 13 via the tongue 11a and the face 12 of the retractor 13, the bolts 14a, 14b retract along the axis Y and are then locked in Y thanks to the action of the ratchet system. The ratchet system comprises a finger 15 and a spring 17. The bolt 14b comprises an attachment portion 14c, integral with a rocker 16. When the bolts 14a, 14b are retracted, the rocker 16 rotates around an axis 16b and from the X axis and engages with the finger 15 mounted, thus locking the bolt 14b in the free position. The finger 15 is mounted on an axis 15b (shown in Figure 4) and a spiral spring 17 the plate upward by rotating it around the axis 15b and the axis Y, thus blocking the rocker 16 when the bolts 14a, 14b are retracted along the Y axis.

Figure 2 shows a detailed view of the ratchet system and a bolt 14b in a locked position. The bolts 14a, 14b are out, in a position preventing translation of the drawer along the axis X. In this locking position, the finger 15 cannot actuate the rocker 16 and rotate it around the axis 16b. The finger 15 cannot therefore translate the bolt 14b along the axis Y by means of the attachment portion 14c.

Figure 3 shows a detailed view of the ratchet system and the bolt 14b in a free position. The bolts 14a, 14b are retracted, and the attachment portion 14c rotates the lever 16 around the axis 16b and the axis X. The finger 15 then comes to slide between the lever 16 and a wall of the drawer 10, at a grooved portion of the lever 16, thus blocking the rotation in the return direction of the lever 16 around its axis 16b and the axis X, and therefore prevents the bolts 14a, 14b from coming out. The drawer 10 is therefore in a free position, that is to say that it can freely come out of the dashboard 30 along the X axis.

Figure 4 shows a profile view of the drawer. The user having pressed the push button 11, the tongue 11a abuts on the face 12 of the retractor 13, which then retracts the bolts 14a, 14b along Y. This movement of the bolts 14a, 14b causes the rocker 16 which when is blocked in rotation by the finger 15. The finger 15 is rotated about its axis 15b and the axis Y by the action of the spiral spring 17. The bolts 14a, 14b being retracted in the free position, the drawer can be driven in translation along the X axis by an extraction spring positioned between the external face of the drawer 10 at the bottom of the drawer 10 and the dashboard 30. The movement of the drawer 10 by the extraction spring is typically 3 to 4 cm. The user only has to finalize the opening of the drawer 10 by pulling at his convenience to access the content of the drawer 10.

The bolts 14a, 14b, the retractor 13 are arranged between a wall of the drawer 10 and a drawer trim 10 and are included in the overall height of the drawer 10. Embed the bolts 14a, 14b and the push button 11 in the drawer 10 frees up space on the dashboard 30 and offers a compact and efficient design.

During the complete translation of the drawer 10 along the axis 10, the finger 15 abuts against a boss 31, integral with the dashboard 30. The boss 31 rotates the finger 15 around its axis 15b and the Y axis, releasing the rocker 16 by lowering the finger 15. The bolts 14a, 14b are then in the extended position thanks to the action of a spring included in the retractor 13. To close the drawer 10 , the user only has to push it towards the inside of the dashboard 30. The bolts 14a, 14b are in the extended position, but also each comprise a bevelled face facilitating the introduction into strikes of the dashboard 30 intended to receive them in order to lock the drawer 10 in the dashboard 30.

-8 The retraction stroke of the bolts 14a, 14b when closing the drawer 10 is less than that made for the opening of the drawer 10, so as to prevent the locking of the bolts 14a, 14b.

Storage according to the present invention is thus 5 particularly practical and intuitive, economical and safe design, thanks to its great ease of use in "push - pull", also translated by "push - pull" in English.

It will be understood that various modifications and / or improvements obvious to those skilled in the art can be made to the various embodiments of the invention described in the present description without departing from the scope of the invention. In particular, reference is made to the different variants of connection between the retractor and the bolts, or in the form of the ratchet system.

Claims (8)

1. Storage of a motor vehicle, comprising: - a drawer (10) having at least one position retracted into a dashboard (30) of a motor vehicle and a position extended from the dashboard (30), - a drawer locking mechanism (10) comprising: - a control member (11) and, - at least one bolt (14a, 14b), arranged to present at least: a so-called locking position, in which the bolt (14a, 14b) is engaged with the dashboard (30) in order to lock the drawer (10) in the retracted position in the dashboard (30), and - a so-called free position, in which the movement of the drawer (10) is possible relative to the dashboard (30), the control member (11) being arranged to cause the passage of the bolt (14a, 14b) of the locking position in the free position, characterized in that the control member (11) and the bolt (14a, 14b) are embedded on the drawer (10). 2. Storage according to the preceding claim, wherein the control member (11) is movable in a direction of movement of the drawer (10), and the bolt (14a, 14b) is movable in a transverse direction of the drawer (10) . 3. Storage according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the locking mechanism further comprises at least one ratchet system arranged to engage with a portion of the bolt (14a, 14b) in order to retain the bolt (14a, 14b ) in the free position. -104. Storage according to the preceding claim, wherein the locking mechanism further comprises a release boss (31), integral with the dashboard (30), arranged to disengage the ratchet system when the ratchet system is engaged with the portion of the bolt (14a, 14b). 5. Storage according to one of claims 3 or 4, wherein the ratchet system comprises a finger (15) and a spring (17), and the bolt (14a, 14b) comprises a rocker (16). 10 6. Storage according to one of the preceding claims, in which the drawer (10) comprises an extraction spring arranged to cause an extraction of the drawer (10) when the drawer (10) is in the retracted position and the bolt (14a, 14b) in the free position. 15 7. Storage according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the locking mechanism further comprises a retractor (13), arranged to retract the bolt (14a, 14b) when it is controlled by the control member (11) in order to bring the bolt (14a, 14b) in the free position, and in which the bolt (14a, 14b) and the retractor (13) are arranged between a 20 drawer wall (10) and a drawer cover (10), and are included in the overall height of the drawer (10). 8. Storage according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the control member (11) is a push button. 9. Dashboard comprising at least one storage unit according to one of the preceding claims. -11 10.
