INDEPENDENT The invention relates to the fastening of the seat belts of a vehicle, and more particularly to the fastening of the belts of a bench comprising three independent parts.

Current vehicles include, for each seat, a seat belt.

Seat belts allow, during an accident or sudden braking, to restrain the passengers and the driver of the vehicle against their respective seats, so as to limit the risk of injury by hitting an element of the vehicle or another passenger.

For external seats, arranged both at the front and at the rear of the vehicle, the seat belts are generally fixed to the amounts of the vehicle doors. Attaching the dedicated seat belt to a central seat, which cannot be carried out on the vehicle uprights, is more delicate.

It is known to fix the seat belt of the central seat, when the three seats are secured or when two seats are secured, to use a device for fixing a guide of the safety belt, the belt being fixed to the seat by means of anchoring. The fixing device also comprises a support, fixed to the seat by means of a base, and capable of supporting the guide at the level of a main panel. The support further comprises two legs projecting from the main panel, resting on a seat frame.

Such an arrangement effectively makes it possible to fix a seat belt for a central seat, by means of the frame of the seat bench. However, when the seat bench is divided into three parts, so as to obtain three independent seats, such an arrangement is no longer possible and therefore no longer allows a solid attachment of the seat belt of the central seat.

A first objective is to provide a device for fixing a guide of a seat belt fitted to a vehicle seat.

A second objective is to provide a device for fixing a guide of a seat belt fitted to a central seat in the seat.

A third objective is to provide a device for fixing a guide of a seat belt fitted to a central seat, independent of the side seats of the seat.

A fourth objective is to provide a system for fixing and guiding a seat belt comprising a device for fixing a guide of the seat belt meeting the above objectives.

A fifth objective is to provide a seat comprising a system for fixing and guiding a seat belt meeting the preceding objective.

A sixth objective is to provide a vehicle comprising a seat meeting the preceding objective.

To this end, it is proposed, firstly, a device for fixing a guide of a seat belt fitted to a central seat of a vehicle, this fixing device comprising a support, this support incorporating a base and a main panel projecting from the base, the support being intended to be fixed to a bench seat via the base, the main panel being intended to support the guide, this device further comprising a reinforcing element configured to rest on the bench, the reinforcing element supporting the main panel of the support.

Such a fastening device allows the maintenance of a seat belt guide, capable of withstanding a traction exerted on the seat belt.

The device also allows, thanks to the reinforcing element, the fixing of a seat belt guide fitted to a rear central seat independent of the side seats.

Various additional characteristics can be provided, alone or in combination:

the fixing device comprises a spacer and the support comprises a first tab provided with a first notch, of a shape complementary to the shape of the spacer, the first tab resting, at the level of the first notch, on the spacer;

the spacer has a cross section of substantially circular shape;

the fixing device comprises a gusset, intended to be integral with the bench, the support and the reinforcing element being fixed on the gusset.

It is proposed, secondly, a system for fixing and guiding a seat belt fitted to the central seat of the vehicle, the fixing and guiding system comprising a reel, capable of automatically adjusting the length of the seat belt, a guide capable of guiding the belt, and a device for fixing the guide to the seat as presented above.

It is proposed, thirdly, a side seat comprising a system for fixing and guiding a seat belt of a central seat as presented above.

Various additional characteristics can be provided, alone or in combination:

the lateral seat comprises a frame and the support of the fixing device comprises a second tab provided with a second notch of a shape complementary to the shape of the frame, the second tab resting, at the level of the second notch, on the frame;

the frame has a substantially circular cross section;

the lateral seat includes a seat belt secured to the retractor and passing through an opening in the guide of the fixing and guiding system.

It is proposed, fourthly, a vehicle comprising a side seat as presented above.

Figure 1 is a perspective view of a vehicle, comprising a seat provided with a system for fixing and guiding a seat belt;

Figure 2 is an enlarged perspective view of the seat, centered on the fastening and guiding system of a seat belt; Figure 3 is an exploded perspective view of the fastening and guiding system of a seat belt;

Figure 4 is an exploded perspective view, from a different angle, of the fastening and guiding system of a seat belt.

FIG. 1 shows a vehicle 1 comprising a bench seat 2 provided with a system 3 for fixing and guiding a seat belt.

According to the illustrated embodiment, the seat 2 is arranged at the rear of the vehicle 1. According to other embodiments, the seat 2 is arranged at the front of the vehicle 1.

According to the embodiment shown, the system 3, fixed to a lateral seat 4 of the bench seat 2, is intended for guiding the seat belt of a central seat 5 of the bench seat 2.

In the remainder of this text, the system 3 for fixing the seat belt is described fixed to the side seat 4, the latter being secured to the vehicle 1.

As illustrated in Figure 2, the system 3 comprises a means for anchoring the seat belt.

According to the embodiment shown, the anchoring means comprises a reel 6 adapted to automatically adjust the length of the seat belt. According to a different embodiment, the anchoring means comprises a simple fastening element, and the seat belt is preferably provided with means for adjusting its length.

The system 3 for fixing and guiding the seat belt also includes a guide 7, capable of guiding the seat belt, and a device 8 for fixing the guide 7.

The guide 7 includes an opening 9, through which the seat belt passes, so as to guide the latter.

According to the embodiment shown, the guide 7 comprises four pins 10, intended to fix the guide 7 to the fixing device 8.

According to a different embodiment, the guide 7 is fixed to the fixing device 8 by means of screws, present or not in addition to the pins 10.

As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the device 8 for fixing the guide 7 to the side seat 4 of the vehicle 1 comprises a support 11. The support 11 comprises a base 12 and a main pan 13 projecting from the base 12 The base 12 is configured to allow the attachment of the support 11 to a backrest 14 of the lateral seat 4. The main pan 13 is configured to support the guide 7.

According to the embodiment shown, the main pan 13 comprises four holes 15 adapted to cooperate with the four pins 10 of the guide 7, so that the pins 10 penetrate into the holes 15 and allow a securing of the guide 7 to the support 11.

The device 8 also includes an element 16 for reinforcing the support 11. The reinforcing element 16 is configured to bear on the lateral seat 4 and support the main pan 13 of the support 11.

Such a reinforcing element 16 thus makes it possible to counter some of the forces exerted by the guide 7 on the support 11. The base 12 of the support 11, integral with the lateral seat 4, is thus less stressed by the forces exerted by the guide 7 on the support 11, in particular, when the seat belt, passing through the opening 9 of the guide 7, subjects the guide 7 to a heavy load.

According to one embodiment, the reinforcing element 16 is in abutment against the backrest 14 of the lateral seat 4.

According to the embodiment shown, the reinforcing element 16 comprises a first shoulder 17. The first shoulder 17 has a generally triangular shape provided with a first primary side 18 bearing against the back 14, a first secondary side 19 connecting the first primary side 18 to a first tertiary side 20, the first tertiary side 20 being able to support the main panel 13 of the support 11.

The first secondary side 19 thus makes it possible to transmit a force, exerted by the guide 7 on the support 11, to the backrest 14 of the lateral seat 4, at a different point from the base 12 of the support 11.

According to the illustrated embodiment, the reinforcing element 16 comprises a second shoulder 21. The second shoulder 21 has a generally triangular shape provided with a second primary side 22 bearing against the back 14, with a second secondary side 23 connecting the second primary side 22 to a second tertiary side 24, the second tertiary side 24 being able to support the main panel 13 of the support 11.

The second secondary side 23 thus makes it possible to transmit a force, exerted by the guide 7 on the support 11, to the backrest 14 of the lateral seat 4, at a different point from the base 12 of the support 11.

According to the illustrated embodiment, the reinforcing element 16 comprises a bar 25 connecting the first shoulder 17 and the second shoulder 21. The reinforcing element 16 has a cross section of substantially circular shape.

The device 8 for fixing the guide 7 of the seat belt also includes a spacer 26. The spacer 26 is configured, as for the reinforcing element 16, to bear on the side seat 4 and support the pan 13 support main 11.

According to one embodiment, the spacer 26 is in abutment against the backrest 14 of the lateral seat 4.

According to the embodiment shown, the support 11 comprises a first tab 27, projecting from the main pan 13, able to rest on the spacer 26. The first tab 27 comprises a first notch 28 of shape complementary to the shape of the spacer 26. The first notch 28 is intended to optimize the bearing surface of the first tab 27 on the spacer 26.

The support 11 further comprises a second tab 29, projecting from the main pan 13, able to rest on a frame 30 of the side seat 4. The second tab 29 comprises a second notch 31 of a shape complementary to the shape of the frame 30. The second notch 31 is intended to optimize the bearing surface of the second tab 29 on the frame 30.

The first tab 27, in correlation with the spacer 26, and the second tab 29, in correlation with the frame 30 of the lateral seat 4, each allow to counter some of the forces exerted by the guide 7 on the support 11. The base 12 of the support 11, integral with the lateral seat 4, and the reinforcing element 16, integral with the main pan 13 of the support 11 and the lateral seat 4, are thus less stressed by the forces exerted by the guide 7 on the support 11, in particular, when the seat belt, passing through the opening 9 of the guide 7, subjects the guide 7 to a heavy load.

According to the illustrated embodiment, the device 8 for fixing the guide 7 comprises a gusset 32, integral with the backrest 14 of the side seat 4. The support 11 and the reinforcing element 16 are fixed to the gusset 32.

According to a preferred embodiment, the spacer 26 is directly attached to the backrest 14 of the side seat 4. The retractor 6 is integral with the gusset 32 by means of an index 33 passing through the gusset

According to one embodiment, all the parts, except the retractor 6 and the seat belt, are welded to each other. According to different embodiments, certain parts are welded and other parts are fixed by a different fixing means.

Such a fixing device 8 allows the maintenance, at the side seat 4, of the seat belt guide 7. The guide 7 is thus able to resist a traction exerted on the seat belt.

The device 8 also allows, thanks to the element 16 of reinforcement and the spacer 26, the fixing, to the lateral seat 4, of the seat belt guide 7 fitted to the central seat 5, independent of the seat 4 side, as shown in figure 1.

Claims (10)

1. Device (8) for fixing a guide (7) of a seat belt fitted to a central seat (5) of a vehicle (1), this fixing device (8) comprising a support (11), this support (11) integrating a base (12) and a main panel (13) projecting from the base (12), the support (11) being intended to be fixed to a bench seat (2), by means of the base (12), the main panel (13) being intended to support the guide (7), this device (8) being characterized in that it further comprises a reinforcing element (16) configured to rest on the bench seat (2), the reinforcing element (16) supporting the main panel (13) of the support (11). 2. Device (8) for fixing according to the preceding claim, characterized in that it comprises a spacer (26), the support (11) comprising a first tab (27) provided with a first notch (28) of complementary shape in the form of the spacer (26), the first tab (27) resting, at the level of the first notch (28), on the spacer (26). 3. Device (8) for fixing according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the spacer (26) has a cross section of substantially circular shape. 4. Device (8) for fixing according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises a gusset (32) intended to be integral with the bench seat (2), the support (11) and the element ( 16) of reinforcement being fixed on the gusset (32). 5. System (3) for fixing and guiding a seat belt fitted to the central seat (5) of the vehicle (1), the system (3) for fixing and guiding comprising a reel (6), capable of adjusting automatically the length of the seat belt, a guide (7) capable of guiding the belt, and a device (8) for fixing the guide (7) to the seat (2) according to any one of the preceding claims. 6. Lateral seat (4) comprising a system (3) for fixing and guiding a seat belt of a central seat (5) according to the preceding claim. 7. Lateral seat (4) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that it comprises a frame (30), the support (11) of the device ( 8) of attachment comprising a second tab (29) provided with a second notch (31) of shape complementary to the shape of the frame (30), the second tab (29) resting, at the level of the second notch (31), on the frame (30). 5 8. Lateral seat (4) according to any one of claims 6 to 8, characterized in that it comprises a seat belt 10 secured to the reel (6) and passing through an opening (9) of the guide (7) of the fixing and guiding system (3). 10.
