The present invention relates to a swimming pool staircase.

Here, the term swimming pool must be understood according to its general acceptance, namely as designating a water basin, whether buried or above-ground, made of polymers, metal or masonry, whatever its shape and / or its dimensions. The term staircase designates all types of staircase, whatever its shape and / or its dimensions.

There are mainly known swimming pools in which the staircase is not only originally fitted but in one piece with the walls of the swimming pool. In other words, the staircase, masonry or polymer, is made at the same time as the pool. Its maintenance is easy and it is visually perfectly integrated into the pool. In return, such a staircase cannot be modified or moved. As a result, repairs on a step or riser are difficult to say the least. In addition, the subsequent incorporation of an accessory, for example a floodlight or a counter current swim nozzle, is difficult. To remedy this, we know from FR-A-2950914 and from FR-A-2905132 prefabricated stairs which are inserted into a swimming pool. These stairs are heavy, awkward to transport and complex to use.

It is to these drawbacks that the invention more particularly intends to remedy by proposing an improved swimming pool staircase, of a simplified manufacture and implementation, which can be mounted on site or in the factory, of a size and of an optimized weight, thus facilitating its transport.

To this end, the subject of the invention is a swimming pool staircase comprising a frame and at least one step and a riser fixed to the frame, characterized in that it comprises at least two elements configured in L each defining a step and a riser and in that at least one free end of the part forming the step or the riser of a first element is adapted to form a connecting member with a free end of the part forming the riser or the step of a second adjacent element.

Thus, it is easy to mount the elements on the frame, optimizing the fixing between the elements and with the frame, while ensuring a tight and visually discreet connection. Such an assembly makes it possible, if necessary, to remove one or a given number of elements in order to intervene on the staircase, for example for maintenance or to incorporate an accessory.

According to advantageous but not compulsory aspects of the invention, such a staircase may include one or more of the following characteristics:

- The connecting member is formed by a free folded end of the step or the riser of an element.

- The free ends of the steps of each element are folded.

- The free ends of the risers of each element are folded.

- The widths of the steps of all the elements are identical.

- The widths of the steps of all the elements are not identical.

The invention will be better understood and other advantages thereof will appear more clearly on reading the following description of several embodiments of the invention, given by way of non-limiting example and given with reference to the following drawings in which:

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a swimming pool staircase in accordance with an embodiment of the invention, the swimming pool not being illustrated for more readability,

FIG. 1 illustrates a first embodiment of a swimming pool staircase 1, in accordance with the invention, before its installation in a swimming pool. It comprises a frame 2 formed of tubes 3. These tubes 3 are metallic, for example aluminum, stainless steel or polymers. They are interconnected by a technique known per se, for example by welding or screwing. Frame 2 has the dimensions and shape of staircase 1, once in place in a swimming pool. Frame 2 has negative buoyancy when placed in a water pool. Advantageously, fixing means, removable or not, of the frame 2 on the walls and / or the bottom of the pool are provided. The frame 2 receives, in support, at least one, and preferably at least two components of the steps and risers. Here, staircase 1 comprises four elements 4A to 4D. We know that element 4B is different from other elements 4A, 4C and 4D. It is easy to see that the number and / or the shape of the elements are adapted to the shape and / or dimensions of the frame, therefore of the staircase. In other words, a staircase in accordance with the invention makes it possible to make different types of staircase.

The elements 4A to 4D are elongated and, each, generally configured in L according to their cross sections. The elements 4A to 4D are produced from a rigid plate made of an insensitive and neutral material with respect to the water, possibly chlorinated, of a swimming pool. Advantageously, these elements 4A to 4D are made of polymers. They are formed by molding, thermoforming, machining or any other technique known per se. Alternatively, they are made of metal, wood or a composite based on wood or stone.

The L shape of elements 4A to 4D means that each element 4A to 4D defines a step 5A to 5D and a riser 6A to 6D. In this way, there is no joint at the level of the nose 7A to 7D of the steps of the staircase, this being obtained by the angle, in one piece, between the branches of the L constituting each element 4A to 4D .

As can be seen more particularly in FIG. 2, the free edges 8A to 8D of the branches 5A to 5D of the elements 4A to 4D, therefore the free edges 8A to 8D of the steps 5A to 5D, are bent at right angles. The edges 8A to 8D thus extend perpendicular to the step 5A to 5D, in a direction parallel to the branches 6A to 6D of the elements 4A to 4D, therefore to the risers, and, here, in the opposite direction. In other words, the edges 8B to 8C define a connecting member with an adjacent element 4A to 4C.

The element 4A, illustrated in the upper part of the staircase by looking at FIGS. 1 to 3, is here illustrated with a folded edge 8A at the end of the step 5A. This element 4A forms the connection means of the staircase with the edge of the swimming pool. For this, it is possible to fix the edge 8A, for example by screwing, in the wall of the swimming pool. In an embodiment not illustrated, the step 5A is provided with a free edge folded and oriented in the direction of the frame 2. It thus forms a means for holding in position the element 4A on the frame 2. A such a solution is encountered when the staircase is intended to remain visible, namely not covered by a liner. It is understood that, as a variant, the step 5A is provided with an edge 8A and with an edge folded in the direction of the frame 2.

In another embodiment not illustrated, the step of the element 4A and of a width greater than that of the other steps. Thus, it covers the edge of the pool. It is then advantageously fitted with a folded free edge, engaging with the outside face of the edge of the swimming pool.

The embodiment illustrated in Figures 1 to 3 allows to reverse, if necessary, the elements 4A, 4C and 4D. Thus, with two molds, one for the elements 4A, 4C, 4D and one for the element 4B, a staircase 1 is produced.

As can be seen in FIG. 2, when the elements 4A to 4D are put in place on the framework, the elements are positioned so that the edges 8B to 8D are in abutment, on one side, against the framework and that the free edges 9A to 9C respectively of the steps 6A to 6C bear against the other face of the edges 8B to 8D. In other words, each folded edge 8B to 8D is sandwiched between the frame and the free edge 9A to 9C of the step of an adjacent element 4A to 4C.

Once all the elements 4A to 4C in position on the frame, as is particularly visible in Figures 3 and 4, the folded edge 8B to 8D of each element defines a return on which the free edge 9A rests 9C from walking 6A to 6C. The length of the folded edge 8B to 8C is such that it allows the folded edge to seal between the elements 4A to 4C when the elements are fixed to the frame, for example by screwing as illustrated in the figure 4 or, alternatively, by bonding. A fixing by a screw V is advantageous because it allows, if necessary, to remove an element, either to change it in the event of deterioration or to replace it by another one equipped with accessories such as a projector or a nozzle, or '' work on the back of the stairs. It is understood that when the staircase is under a liner, any intervention requires the removal, at least partially, of the liner. In addition, the presence of an edge 8A to 8C facilitates the location of the element and its position on the stairs.

FIG. 5 illustrates a staircase 10 according to another embodiment of the invention. Here, the first element 40A comprises a step 50A of greater width than the steps 50B to 50D of the other elements 40B to 40D. The risers 60A to 60D have similar to the risers 6A to 6D of the staircase 1. Thus, the step 50A is adapted to facilitate the use of the staircase. As a variant, the upper face of the step 50A is coplanar at the edge of the swimming pool and extends the latter.

In other embodiments not illustrated, the step 50A is also provided with at least one folded edge allowing attachment to the wall of the pool and / or to the framework, as mentioned for the embodiment of the figure. 1. Advantageously according to a preferred embodiment not illustrated, the element 40A, like the element 4A, is provided with a folded edge oriented perpendicular to the visible face of the step 50A and directed upwards by looking at FIG. 5 .

In all cases, stairs 1 or 10 is either used as is, as far as the materials used to form the elements allow, or covered with a liner.

With a staircase according to the invention, it is easy to reverse the elements, provided that they have the same dimensions. In this case, if an element 4B to 4D or 40B to 40D is intended to occupy the place of the constituent element at the top of the staircase, therefore to become element 4A or 40A, we check that it has the correct dimensions, in particular in terms of width of the step 5A or 50A. Such a case can be encountered during the assembly on site of the elements, for example, for perfect adaptability to the dimensions of the pool or when an element is damaged. It is also possible, if necessary, to cut in half, according to their length, the elements for making two staircases.

It is understood that in other embodiments, the so-called mirror solution is used. In this case, the folded edge is provided on the riser and it is intended to be sandwiched between the frame and the free, unfolded edge of the step of an adjacent element.

As mentioned above, in other embodiments, the free edges of the step 6D or 60D of the riser of the elements 4D or 40D located at the lower ends of the staircase 1; 10 in place in a swimming pool, are also folded and thus come into engagement with the frame or the bottom of the swimming pool, depending on whether there are one or two folded edges.

In all cases, the invention allows easy transport with optimal dimensions, typically depending on the size of a standardized pallet, of several components of several staircases. Furthermore, a user can transport and assemble the elements alone, while precisely adapting them to the dimensions of the pool.
