Procédé de fabrication d'une pièce en matériau composite, et bielle fabriquée selon ce procédé. Procédé de fabrication d'une pièce en matériau composite, comprenant une matrice thermoplastique ou thermodurcissable renforcée de fibres. Il comprend successivement : - une phase de fabrication d'une préforme, - une phase de découpe partielle ou totale de la préforme, - une phase de mise en forme de la préforme découpé, ou des parties (62, 63) de la préforme découpée, dans un moule (7) - une phase de mise en tension de la préforme découpée ou des parties (62, 63) de la préforme découpée, au moins dans les zones bordées par les lignes de découpe, et - une phase de moulage et de polymérisation dans des conditions particulières de température et de pression adaptées au matériau composite utilisé.
