Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for dispensing and optionally mixing at least a first and a second product, of the type comprising a bottle (1) equipped with dispensing means (11, 12) and adapted to receive at least two cartridges (3a 3b), each cartridge (3a, 3b) enclosing one of said first and second products and being adapted to be mounted in said bottle (1) to cooperate with said dispensing means (11). Characteristically according to the invention, said cartridges (3a; 3b) are shaped to be removably mounted in said bottle (1), said bottle (1) has a withdrawal opening (15) which allows disassembly and removal said cartridges (3a; 3b) out of said vial, in that said vial (1) further comprises closure means (13) of said withdrawal opening (15) which are movably mounted between a closed position in which they close at least partially said withdrawal opening (15) and a withdrawal position in which they allow passage of at least one of said cartridges (3a; 3b) through said withdrawal opening (15), and further comprises a plurality of cartridges (3c; 3d; 3e) each containing said first or second product or another product different from the latter, each of said cartridges being adapted to be mounted in said bottle (1) to cooperate with said means of disinfection; tribution (11).

Description

TITLE OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a device for dispensing and optionally mixing at least two products, in particular two cosmetic products.

PRIOR ART

Current cosmetic products often consist of two or more components that must be mixed just before the application of the product to give it optimal action. In other cases, the mixture of constituents quickly deteriorating in time, it is necessary to keep the cosmetic product in the form of its two components separated from each other.

Moreover, it is sometimes interesting to be able to dose the amount of one of the constituents relative to the other.

Thus, US 6 464 107 B1 discloses a device for dispensing two products which makes it possible to determine the quantity of each of the products dispensed and thus to form mixtures at its convenience. This device comprises a bottle in which are mounted two cartridges of different products. By rotating an element of the dispensing means equipping this bottle, the relative amount of each of the products is regulated. This device is not rechargeable. In addition, it is expensive to manufacture and can only be used for the two products contained in the bottle.

An object of the present invention is to provide a new dispensing device of at least two products that can be reloaded.

Another object of the present invention is to propose a device for dispensing at least two products that make it possible to distribute at least two by two a plurality of different products.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a device for dispensing at least two products that is easy to use.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a device for dispensing at least two products that is easy and inexpensive to produce.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

To achieve at least one of the aforementioned objects, the present invention provides a device for dispensing and optionally mixing at least a first and a second product, of the type comprising a bottle equipped with dispensing means and adapted to receive at least two cartridges, each cartridge containing one of said first and second products and being adapted to be mounted in said bottle to cooperate with said dispensing means.

Typically, according to the invention, said cartridges are shaped to be removably mounted in said vial, said vial comprises a withdrawal opening which allows disassembly and removal of said cartridges out of said vial, said vial further comprises means for closing said withdrawal opening which are movably mounted between a closed position in which they at least partially close said withdrawal opening and a withdrawal position in which they allow the passage of at least one of said cartridges through said withdrawal opening, and the device further comprises a plurality of cartridges each containing said first or second product or another product different from the latter, each of said cartridges being adapted to be mounted in said bottle to cooperate with said dispensing means .

The removable cartridges and the withdrawal opening allow you to change the cartridges when they are empty or simply to make another mix or distribute other products. The closing means ensure the maintenance of the cartridges in the bottle so that they cooperate with the dispensing means. DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The device may include a plurality of cartridges each containing a different product or a plurality of cartridges, some of which contain the same product and others at least one other product.

The device may comprise at least two cartridges and advantageously two cartridges mounted in said bottle and each having a dispensing opening which cooperate with said dispensing means.

According to one embodiment, said closure means are removable from said bottle. This may be, for example a plug forcibly entered into the withdrawal opening.

According to another embodiment that can be combined with the previous embodiment, said closure means comprise a lid pivotally mounted on said bottle.

According to another embodiment, said closure means comprise a lid adapted to cooperate by interlocking with said withdrawal opening for the closure of the latter. The withdrawal opening may comprise a screw thread and said closing means may comprise a cover adapted to be screwed onto said screw thread. This cover may include a helical groove so that it can be screwed onto the thread. The thread may be provided on the outer wall or on the inner wall of the withdrawal opening

The bottle may have two ends, one provided with said dispensing means and the other with said withdrawal opening. These ends may be opposite depending on the longitudinal dimension of the bottle

Advantageously, the cover has a flat surface; it can thus serve as a flat bottom when the withdrawal opening is formed in the bottom of the bottle or when the bottle has no bottom and forms a tube open at this end.

The dispensing means are not limited according to the invention. They may comprise at least one pump which comprises a tube inserted into each cartridge. They can also allow the dosage of the relative quantity of products to be dispensed. According to a particular embodiment of the dispensing means, they allow the dosing of the relative quantity of said products and in particular, for example, include pumping means, an adjusting device which cooperates with said pumping means to adjust the quantity relative to less of said first and second products and a dispensing nozzle which cooperates with said pumping means and said adjusting device, said adjusting device has a pivoting transmission element which actuates said pumping device and the position of the pivot axis of said transmission element is adjustable with respect to said pumping device to adjust the volume discharged by said pumping device.

Similarly, the term "cartridge" means in the sense of the invention, rigid containers as well as flexible containers such as pockets or flexible tubes. The shape of the cartridges is not limited according to the invention. Depending on the number of cartridges that can be mounted in the vial and the cross-section of the vial, cartridges may be chosen which are not necessarily of equal size but which have complementary cross-sections so that when the maximum number of cartridges that can be mounted in the bottle is actually mounted in the latter, the section of the set of mounted cartridges has substantially the same shape as the section of the bottle.

Advantageously, said plurality of cartridges comprises a number of cartridges greater than or equal to the maximum number of cartridges that can be mounted in the vial and said cartridges have a shape and a section such that when the maximum number of cartridges are actually mounted in said vial, the section of the set of mounted cartridges has substantially the same shape as the section of the bottle. In the case of a bottle of circular cross section and in particular of a cylindrical bottle, the cartridges may have a cross section which forms a disk portion, the assembly of all the cartridges arranged in the bottle occupying the section of the bottle. In the case of two cartridges, they may have a semicircular cross section.

According to one embodiment, said cartridges each comprise a piston disposed at the bottom of said cartridge and an outlet opening of the product opposite said piston. In this case, the cartridges may be rigid or semi-rigid.

The products contained in the cartridges are not limited according to the invention. These are preferably liquids, milks, oils, lotions, fluids, emulsions, gel solutions, micellar solutions, pastes or creams adapted to be dispensed by the dispensing means. The products advantageously have a viscosity substantially equal to or greater than 1cp and can be, for example, of the order of 160,000 cp. This viscosity is measured with a Brookfield rheometer. The term "different products" refers to products that do not have the same components and products that have the same components but in different concentrations.

According to one embodiment, at least one of said plurality of cartridges contains an insect repellent active, including mosquitoes and at least one other of said plurality of cartridges contains a product selected from a moisturizing agent, a protective agent against UV, a foundation, an anti-aging agent. and an arthropod repellant.

With reference to FIG. 1, the device of the invention comprises a dispenser and metering bottle 1 and a plurality of cartridges 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d and 3e which are rigid, in the particular embodiment shown here.

The bottle 1 and substantially cylindrical and extends in a substantially vertical longitudinal direction; it comprises distribution means 11 which are arranged at its upper end. The dispensing means 11 comprise non-visible pumping means and a dispensing nozzle 12 through which the products or the mixture of products to be dispensed leave. The dispensing nozzle is connected to the pumping means. The bottle 1 also comprises a bottom which is formed of a lid or stopper 13 which will be more fully described with reference to FIG. 2. The bottom of the bottle 1 is flat which allows to place it vertically on a surface, the dispensing means being opposed to the bottom.

With reference to FIG. 1, the bottle 1 contains two cartridges 3a and 3b which are identical to the cartridges 3c to 3e but may contain different products. Each cartridge 3a to 3e comprises a body 31 which is transparent plastic in the example shown. Each cartridge contains a piston 33 and comprises a dispensing head 35 covered with a protective cap 37 when the cartridge is not mounted in the bottle 1. The dispensing head 35 is adapted to cooperate with the dispensing means 11 of the bottle 1 and has a dispensing aperture through which the product exits the cartridge. The cartridges 3a to 3e are of semicircular section. They form half cylinders which have a flat face. The flat faces of the half-cylinders come face-to-face when the two cartridges are mounted in the vial 1, as will be explained in more detail with reference to FIG. 3.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the cartridges 3a to 3e and the bottle 1 are in transparent material which allows the user to see the level of product remaining in each of the cartridges and possibly to check which products contains the cartridge, for example using 'a visible color code on the cartridges.

In the embodiment shown here, the distribution means 11 comprise a rotary transmission element 14, which has graduations. This transmission element 14 is rotatable about an axis not shown. This transmission element 14 actuates the pumping device of the dispensing means and the position of its pivot axis is adjustable to adjust the volume of product dispensed by the dispensing means 11. The relative amount of one of the products is thus adjusted to distribute.

With reference to FIG. 2, the bottle 1 is open at its lower end. It forms an open tube at the withdrawal opening 15. At the withdrawal aperture 15, a screw thread 17 is provided on the outer surface of the vial 1. The cover 13 comprises a flat bottom 131 and a collar 133, perpendicular to the bottom 131, and whose inner surface has a groove 135 which cooperates with the screw thread 17 for fixing by screwing the lid 13 on the bottle 1.

An example of use of the first embodiment will now be described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2.

When the user wants to modify the product that he distributes through the bottle 1, he unscrews the bottom 13 of the latter. The opening 15 being wide, it allows access to the two cartridges 3a and 3b mounted in the body of the bottle 1. The user grasps the bottom of one or both of the cartridges and the, or withdraws by pulling towards him. It can then remove the protective cap from another cartridge 3c to 3e and then mount the latter in the bottle 1. The dispensing head 35 of the replacement cartridge is inserted into the withdrawal opening 15 which then also serves to mount of the cartridge. By pressing on the bottom of the cartridge inserted in the bottle 1, the user has the dispensing head 35 cooperate with the dispensing means 11 of the bottle. It then revises the lid 13 and the device is ready to be used again.

With reference to FIG. 3, the cover 13 is flat and has no flange. It is pivotally mounted about an axis 7 parallel to the height of the bottle 1. This axis 7 is formed in the thickness of the wall of the bottle 1. By rotating the lid 13 about the axis 7, it can close the withdrawal opening 15 or disengage it. A valve may also be provided to hold the lid in the closed position of the withdrawal opening 15. In FIG. 3 the bottom of the cartridges 3a and 3b is visible and can see their half cylindrical shape.

Claims (11)

1. Device for dispensing and possibly mixing at least a first and a second product, of the type comprising a bottle (1) equipped with dispensing means (11, 12) and adapted to receive at least two cartridges (3a; 3b) each cartridge (3a; 3b) enclosing one of said first and second products and being adapted to be mounted in said bottle (1) to cooperate with said dispensing means (11), characterized in that said cartridges (3a; 3b) are shaped to be removably mounted in said vial (1), in that said vial (1) has a withdrawal aperture (15) which allows disassembly and removal of said cartridges (3a; 3b) out of said vial, thereby said bottle (1) further comprises closure means (13) of said withdrawal opening (15) which are movably mounted between a closed position in which they at least partially close said withdrawal opening (15) and a position re line in which they allow the passage of at least one of said cartridges (3a; 3b) through said withdrawal opening (15), and in that it further comprises a plurality of cartridges (3c; 3d; 3e) each containing said first or second product or another product different therefrom, each of said cartridges being adapted to be mounted in said bottle (1) to cooperate with said dispensing means (11). 2. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said closure means (13) are removable from said bottle. 3. Device according to any one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that said closure means comprise a lid (13) pivotally mounted on said bottle (1). 4. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that said closure means comprise a cover (13) adapted to cooperate by interlocking with said withdrawal opening (15) for closing thereof. 5. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said withdrawal opening (15) comprises a screw thread (17) and in that said closure means comprise a cover (13) adapted to be screwed onto said screw pitch. 6. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said bottle (1) has two ends, one provided with said dispensing means (11), the other having said withdrawal opening (15). 7. Device according to any one of claims 3 to 6, characterized in that the cover (13) comprises a flat surface (131). 8. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said dispensing means (11) allow the dosage of the relative quantity of said products and in particular comprise pumping means, an adjusting device which cooperates with said means of pumping for setting the relative amount of at least one of said first and second products and a dispensing nozzle (12) cooperating with said pumping means and said adjusting device, in that said adjusting device has a pivoting transmission element (14) which actuates said pumping device and in that the position of the pivot axis of said transmission element (14) is adjustable from said pumping device to adjust the volume discharged by said pumping device. 9. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said cartridges (3a; 3b; 3c; 3d; 3e) each comprise a piston (33) disposed at the bottom of said cartridge (3a; 3b; 3c; 3d) and an outlet opening of the product opposite to said piston (33). 10. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least one of said cartridges of said plurality of cartridges (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, 3e) contains a repellent active against insects, including mosquitoes and at least one other of said plurality of cartridges (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, 3e) contains a product selected from a moisturizing agent, a UV protection agent, a foundation, an anti-aging agent and a arthropod repellant. 11. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said plurality of cartridges comprises a number of cartridges greater than or equal to the maximum number of cartridges that can be mounted in the vial and in that said cartridges have a shape and a shape. section such that when the maximum number of cartridges are actually mounted in said bottle, the section of all mounted cartridges has substantially the same shape as the section of the bottle.
