Procédé de manipulation de colis (20), de forme générale parallélépipédique apte à être stocké sur une surface support à l'état accolé par sa face arrière et par l'une (205) de ses faces latérales, dite première face latérale (205), avec une surface tierce. Ledit procédé comprend : - une étape de déplacement du colis (20) dans le sens, d'un décalage latéral de la façade (203) dudit colis (20) par rapport à la surface tierce adjacente, ou d'un soulèvement de la façade (203) dudit colis (20) par rapport à la surface support, à l'aide d'un écarteur (3) positionnable en contact avec la surface librement accessible dudit colis (20) pour créer un espace (21) entre le colis (20), et la surface tierce adjacente, ou la surface support dudit colis (20), et - une étape d'introduction d'un organe (8) de transfert, dans l'espace (21) créé à l'aide de l'écarteur (3).
