Description
The present invention relates to a laying template for podotactile pads. The invention also relates to a method of laying podotactile pads. It is known to stick to the ground podotactile pads to provide guidance, signaling a situation or a variation of potentially dangerous topography to people who are blind or visually impaired. This assembly of podotactile pads is used to make orientation assistance bands (B.A.0) or alertness alerting bands (B.E.V). The production of these strips requires a relatively precise positioning of several podotactile pads whose spacing and number vary from one country to another according to standards. Thus, a technique of laying consists of depositing tactile pads with glue. The podotactile pads are arranged one by one on the ground of the zone indicated. To do this, a template perforated holes allows to position the podotactile studs at the desired locations. The amount of glue deposited under each podotactile pad must be controlled in order to avoid overflowing glue on the ground after positioning the podotactile pads. In addition, the drying time of the glue used requires blocking access to the area to be reported for a certain time.
In order to avoid drying problems, patent application FR 2956127 proposes tactile tactile pads comprising an upper surface shaped to provide tactile information and a lower surface intended to be glued on a support. A first zone of the lower surface, for example a peripheral zone, receives a first adhesive while a second adhesive distinct from the first adhesive is provided to cooperate with a second zone of the lower surface and the support. The use of these two adhesives significantly reduces the intervention time to achieve a ground strip. However, the handling time for positioning each stud in each hole of the template is still relatively long. In order to optimize the intervention time for producing a strip on the ground, strips made of flexible material are proposed on the surface of which projections each reproduce the shape of a podotactile pad. The dimensions of the formed strip can be adapted to the request by an operator to match the needs of the area to be protected. The use of this type of formed strips is not easy on soils whose topography is tormented with moreover a poor surface condition, which causes a decrease in the life of the formed strip. The invention therefore aims to provide means for performing a laying of podotactile easy and fast pads. Advantageously, a ground strip made using such means will have a long life. For this purpose, according to a first aspect of the invention, there is provided a laying template for podotactile studs having a first face, a second face opposite to the first face, fingerprints each comprising, on the one hand, a housing adapted to receive a podotactile pad and, secondly, a passage between the housing and the second side provided with passing restriction means adapted to maintain a podotactile stud in the corresponding housing. Thus, thanks to the use of a laying template according to the present invention, the positioning of the podotactile pads for the realization of an orientation aid strip (BA0) or a wake-up strip of vigilance (BEV) is facilitated. Indeed, the podotactile pads are already positioned in a suitable configuration in the laying template. In this way, the studs are prepared before they are laid, thus making a calepinage. In one embodiment, the passage restriction means are protuberances placed inside the passages for maintaining the podotactile stud inside the cavity.
According to one embodiment, a laying template according to the invention may comprise on a first edge of the first positioning means and on a second edge opposite to the first of the second form positioning means complementary to that of the first positioning means. These positioning means can then be used to connect together several laying templates contiguously to obtain a template of larger size and thus to produce a B.A.O or a B.E.V of desired length. Advantageously, the laying template comprises repositionable adhesive means adapted to hold the laying template on a floor. It is thus possible, on the one hand, to maintain the template on a floor during the gluing of podotactile studs contained in the template and, secondly, to reposition the template in case of initial misplacement. It is thus possible to realize a B.A.O (or B.E.V.) with a good visual appearance. Preferably, the laying template is constituted by a sheet of thermoformed synthetic material. The template can thus be easily made and reuse of the installation template is then possible. In a second aspect of the invention, there is provided a set of a laying template as described above and podotactile pads having a spherical cap and a base. According to one embodiment of such an assembly, a thick double-sided adhesive is adhered to the base of each podotactile stud. To avoid the use of gluing means for bonding the tactile pads, the thick double-sided adhesive comprises for example a layer of foam sandwiched between two adhesive layers, a first adhesive side being covered with a protector. According to an advantageous embodiment, a protective film covering the second face of the laying template is used to protect the podotactile studs in their housings during the various handling operations between the manufacture of the template and the pads it contains and their use to make a strip of pads on a floor. In a third aspect of the invention there is provided a method of placing tactile pads comprising the following steps: - providing at least one assembly consisting of a laying template and tactile pads as described above wherein each tactile pad having a face on which an adhesive has been laid beforehand, - placing the second face of the laying template on a floor, - pressing on several impressions of the laying template so as to pass the podotactile stud they contain in the corresponding passage, and - removal of the laying template.

FIG. 7 is a perspective view of a step of the method. embodiment of a BAO using a laying template according to the present invention, and Figure 8 is a perspective view of pads fixed to the ground using a laying template according to the present invention.
The podotactile pad 3 comprises a first portion 5 and a base 7. The first part 5 is here in the form of a spherical cap having for example a diameter dp at its base equal to 25 mm (1 mm = 0.001 m) and a height hp equal to 5 mm. The base 7 has a peripheral edge 9 and a reservation 11. The reservation 11 is provided to receive fixing means by bonding the podotactile stud. The peripheral edge 9 defines the bonding area of the podotactile pad. The geometric and dimensional characteristics of the podotactile pad 3 are preferably in accordance with standards in force in countries where the podotactile pad 3 will be used. The podotactile stud 3 is for example of synthetic polymer material and obtained by injection, allowing good chemical resistance, good resistance to scratching, wear and shock. There are also metallic tactile pads and / or different shapes of a spherical cap (pyramidal, bar, ...) which can of course also be used in the context of the present invention. In one embodiment of the podotactile stud 3 (FIG. 1b), the reservation 11 of the base 7 receives a double-faced adhesive 13 having a first side 15 and a second side (not shown in the figures) opposite the first side 15. A preferred embodiment provides that a foam layer is disposed between the first side and the second side. The thick double-sided adhesive 13 is of a shape adapted to the base of the tactile pad 3. In the embodiment of FIG. 1b, the thick double-sided adhesive 13 has a diameter equal to or less than the diameter of the reservation 11 and is adhered by its second side inside the reservation of the tactile pad 3 so as to protrude slightly in height from the peripheral edge 9. The first side 15 of the thick double-sided adhesive 13 further comprises an adhesive film covered with a protector (not shown in the figures) adapted to protect from the outside environment said adhesive film disposed on the first side 15 before positioning and bonding the podotactile stud 3 on a floor. FIG. 2 represents a laying template 1 for tactile pads 3 intended to produce an orientation aid strip (B.A.0). According to a preferred embodiment, the laying template 1 is made of relatively flexible synthetic material and is made by thermoforming. Advantageously, the laying template 1 is reusable. FIG. 2 illustrates an embodiment of the invention in which the laying jig 1 comprises a first face 2, a second face 200 (visible in FIG. 6) positioned under the first face 2, fingerprints 4, first means 12 and second positioning means 14. It is assumed here that the laying template 1 is laid flat on a substantially horizontal plane, the second face 200 being in contact with the horizontal plane.
This cavity comprises a housing 6 adapted to the geometrical shape of the podotactile pad, that is to say here in the form of a spherical bowl whose dimensions are adapted to house a pad podotactile 3 and a passage 8 in adapted form, here in the form of a tubular cylinder placed under the housing 6. The diameter of the passage 8 is adapted to allow passage to the podotactile stud 3 housed in the housing 6. However, passing restriction means are located in the passage 8 to maintain a podotactile stud 3 in the housing 6 inside the latter. The passage restricting means preferably have a protrusion shape and are evenly distributed around the periphery of the corresponding passage. The number of protuberances 10 is adapted according to the type of podotactile pads 3 used. Thus, in the exemplary embodiment illustrated, the passage restriction means comprise three protuberances 10. Advantageously, the protuberances 10 hold the pod-tactile pad 3 having the thick double-sided adhesive 13 so that the first side 15 of the thick double-sided adhesive 13 does not touch the ground when positioning the laying template 1 at the location of the reportable area. More generally, the passage 8 and the protuberances 10 are designed in such a way that the tactile pad 3 in the housing 6 is maintained while avoiding that bonding means applied to the base 7 of the stud at the level of the reservation 11 of the stud podotactile 3 do not touch the ground when the laying template 1 is placed on the ground as shown for example in Figure 2. Advantageously, the shape of the cavity 4 is adapted so that during a pressure on the footprint 4 through the first face 2 of the laying template 1, the passage 8 is deformed to release the podotactile stud 3 of its housing 6 formed in the cavity 4. Figure 4 shows an example of laying template 1 for the realization of a wakefulness alertness band (BEV) according to the standard currently in force in France. As a purely indicative and in no way limitative, the laying jig 1 and has a length L equal for example to 1 m and a width / equal for example to 120 mm. It comprises three rows of imprints 4 staggered with a spacing of 37.5 mm between the lines and a spacing between imprints 4 of the same line of 75 mm. Each laying template 1, however, has dimensions (L, L) adapted to meet the specifications of standards in force in the countries where the invention will be used.
The imprints 4 are positioned on several lines parallel to each other on the laying template 1 and staggered from one line to another. Advantageously, the positioning as well as the size of the impressions 4 of the laying templates 1 depend on the legislation in force in the country where B.A.O or B.E.V will be performed. The laying template 1 in its embodiment of FIG. 5 comprises first positioning means 12 and second positioning means 14 adapted to connect and hold together several laying templates 1 contiguously in order to create a template of more large size, adapted to the dimensions of the band and / or the dimensions of the reportable area that one wishes to achieve, for example according to the standards of the country where the strip of pads is made. The first positioning means 12 have a frustoconical shape (Figure 5) recessed and are positioned projecting upwardly of the first face 2 at a first edge of the laying template 1 of rectangular overall shape. First positioning means 12 are here (Figure 5) also placed in the same way on an edge adjacent to the first edge. The second positioning means 14 have a frustoconical shape (FIG. 5) hollowed out and are positioned on a tongue 16 of the laying jig 1.
The second positioning means 14 are of complementary shape to that of the first positioning means 12 of such so that it is possible to fit a hollow truncated cone corresponding to second positioning means 14 on a truncated cone corresponding to the first positioning means 12. The positioning of the first positioning means 12 and the second positioning means 14 are adapted to allow "clipping" the second positioning means 14 placed an edge of a first laying template 1 to the first positioning means 12 placed on an edge of a second laying template 1. It is therefore expected the same spacing on a laying jig edge for the first positioning means 12 as for the second positioning means 14 Two or more laying templates 1 are then contiguously positioned in order to produce a set of templates having the dimensions of the B.E.V or B.A.O that it is desired to produce. The laying template 1 also advantageously comprises holding means (not shown in the figures) to avoid moving the template when laying the podotactile pads it contains. Marks 18 are made to identify the locations where the aforementioned holding means. There are provided two marks 18 per laying template which each have in the embodiment shown in FIG 5 a rib form a square projecting from the second face 2 of the laying template 1. The holding means come to fill the zone inside each mark 18 on the second face of the laying jig and are adapted to temporarily fix the laying jig 1 on the ground. To do this, the holding means are for example constituted by a double-sided adhesive tape, preferably repositionable. This can also be a thick double-sided adhesive with a foam core or another material. For the implementation of a laying template 1 according to the present invention, it can be provided, for example, that a robotic arm sticks on each podotactile stud 3 still being in its mold a thick double-sided adhesive adhesive 13 adhesive. Podotactiles 3 provided with a thick double-sided adhesive 13 are then taken, individually or collectively, by the robotic arm and "clipped" into impressions 4 of the laying template 1. Once the laying template 1 is filled with podotactile studs 3 the protectors of each thick double-sided adhesive 13 are removed thick double-sided adhesives 13. Of course, tactile pads 3 not comprising double-sided adhesive can be used in the context of the present invention, such for example pads of the type shown in Figure 1a.
In addition, an adhesive protective film (FIG. 6) is here adhered to the second face 200 of the laying jig 1. The protective film 20 thus makes it possible to protect the thick double-sided adhesives 13 of each tactile pad 3. The laying jig 1 provided with these podotactile pads 3 is then packaged. In the remainder of the description will be described a method of producing a strip of pads on a floor, such for example a B.A.O or a BEV, using a laying template 1 as described above. The order of the different steps of the method of producing the strip is given by way of example, other combinations that may also be considered by those skilled in the art for producing said strips.
Optionally, in order to facilitate the positioning of the laying template 1, a marking on the ground, for example using an adhesive tape or a marking wire, can be carried out by the operator in order to pinpoint with precision the place where the laying template 1 must be positioned to make the strip of studs.
If the band to be produced is of small dimensions, that is to say of dimensions smaller than the dimensions of the laying template 1, then the laying template 1 is cut to the dimensions of the strip to be produced. If the tape to be made is large and several templates are to be used, the templates are then assembled as shown in Figure 5 to form a single template of large dimensions. By taking up the assembly consisting of a laying template and tactile pads 3 described above, the operator takes this assembly on site and removes the adhesive protective film 20 (step evoked in Figure 6). This operation is performed for example while the laying template 1 is placed on a floor 22, the first face 2 is returned to the floor 22 (left of Figure 7). The template is then returned (Figure 7) to be positioned at the marked location on the ground 22. Once the template is properly positioned, the operator can then press it on the ground by pressing at the mark 18 to fix it On the ground. In this position, the adhesive side of thick double-sided adhesives 13 is still far from the ground. If the tactile pads in the laying template 1 are of another type, the laying operations are adapted here. If the studs in the template are not provided with any adhesive, it can be provided to remove the protective film 20 and come to stick each base 7 of each podotactile stud 3 of the laying template 1 with a pad of glue. The template is then returned as described in the previous paragraph. In this case it is also preferable that the deposited adhesive does not come into contact with the ground when the laying template is returned second face 200 to the ground. Another variant that can be envisaged is to have left on the double-sided foam adhesives 13 the individual protectors before the gluing of the protective film 20. In this case, a step is then provided to remove the protectors of each double adhesive. thick face 13 before coming to position the laying template 1 as shown on the right of Figure 7. Of course, other variants can be envisaged without departing from the scope of the present invention. Once the laying template 1 comprising the sticky contact pads 3 (FIG. 7) positioned at the point where the floor is marked, the operator exerts pressure on the first face 2 of the laying template 1 at each imprint 4 The pressure exerted (illustrated by arrows 24 in FIG. 7) is then sufficient to deform the cavity 4 and to release the podotactile block 3 from its housing 6. This stage is generally performed on each cavity 4 of the laying template 1 in order to to make the strip of pads on the ground. If a small strip is to be made, only a portion of the pads will be used, the remaining pads remaining inside the laying template 1. Once all or part of the studs glued to the ground, the laying template 1 is removed. Figure 8 shows the band thus made after also removing also the marking on the ground.
The present invention thus allows the realization of a strip of pads for the use of blind or visually impaired persons using a laying template 1 which is quick to implement and is easily achieved. The placement time of the studs for producing an Orientation Aid Band or a Vigilance Awareness Band is substantially shorter than the time required for similar bands with a prior art method. In addition, as each podotactile pad is glued individually on the ground, the band automatically adapts to ground defects and good bonding ensures a maximum life of the strip achieved. The present invention is not limited to the realization of a strip of pads for the use of blind or visually impaired persons using a laying template on a support such as the ground. Indeed, other supports such as for example a wall or other substantially flat surface may be used. The present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above as non-limiting examples described and shown in the drawing and the other variants mentioned but it relates to all embodiments within the reach of the skilled person in the art. the scope of the claims below.
