L'étanchéité à l'air et l'isolation sont complétées par des éléments en mousse compressible (12) disposés par paire sur la périphérie du pré cadre. La partie supérieure extérieure (14) du coffre du pré cadre présente un retrait par rapport à l'alignement futur de la façade pour permettre la continuité du revêtement définitif des parois du gros-oeuvre. Elle est revêtue du matériau idoine pour ce faire. Les fixations du pré cadre se font au moyen d'équerres métalliques (13) vissées sur l'intérieur au pré cadre, et sur le gros-oeuvre. Les finitions entre le gros-oeuvre et la peau intérieure d'une part et le pré cadre d'autre part sont prévues avec des baguettes ou des ailettes de recouvrement (16) de la menuiserie ou du pré 35 cadre. Afin d'éviter au maximum les ponts thermiques au niveau des liaisons avec le gros-oeuvre, les matériaux du pré cadre devront être les plus isolants possible, bois, PVC (avec armatures métalliques si besoin), panneaux métalliques double peau isolés, etc. Les Figures 1 à 4 permettent d'apprécier les différents composants, leur positionnement et leur 40 fonction décrite ci-dessus.
