Abstract

L'invention concerne une conversion thermique (200) utilisée pendant l'étape d'amidification de cyanohydrine d'acétone (ACH) dans le procédé industriel de production de méthacrylate de méthyle (MMA) ou d'acide méthacrylique (MAA). La cuve de conversion thermique (200) est utilisée pour convertir un mélange d'hydrolyse d'?-hydroxyisobutyramide (HIBAM), d'?-sulfato-isobutyramide (SIBAM), d'2-méthacrylamide (MACRYDE) et d'acide méthacrylique (MAA), en un mélange de 2-méthacrylamide (MACRYDE). Elle comprend : - au moins un compartiment (C1, C2, C3, ..Ci) comprenant une paroi interne (206a, 206b, ... 206i) séparant ledit compartiment en deux sections en communication (C1a, C1b) par un passage réalisé entre le fond de ladite cuve et ladite paroi interne, - ledit compartiment présentant un espace au-dessus de ladite paroi interne, pour séparer la phase gazeuse de la phase liquide pendant la conversion thermique, - ledit compartiment étant connecté à une vanne de sortie (204a, 204b, ...204i). Une telle cuve permet d'obtenir une conversion thermique de rendement élevé dans des conditions très sûres.
