Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an arrangement for sealing between a trunk flap of a vehicle and a complementary opening closed by the flap in a closed flap configuration. Many motor vehicles are known which are equipped with a hatch-type tailgate, that is to say a set of a trunk door and a rear window opening together. The boot flap is pivotally mounted on a rear portion of the vehicle, between an open position in which the flap allows access to a complementary opening access to the trunk, and a closed position in which the shutter closes the opening. In addition, the flap is delimited by a first peripheral edge and the opening is delimited by a second complementary peripheral edge. The first peripheral edge and the second peripheral edge delimit between them a groove in the closed shutter configuration. It is known to arrange a sealing means in the groove, such as seals, in order to ensure the seal between the boot flap and the opening of the box, in particular to prevent the water from penetrating by running off at inside the vehicle. However, the junction between the free end of two joints may exhibit a leakage rupture when the two joints delimit a clearance between them in the direction of their length, because of an imprecise assembly or a geometric dispersion of the joined in time for example. In addition, a clearance between the free end of two seals may cause poor airflow when the vehicle is in motion, and the game may be perceived by the user as a visual quality defect. To overcome these drawbacks in particular, the invention proposes an arrangement for sealing between a tailgate of a vehicle and a complementary opening closed by the flap in a closed flap configuration, the flap being delimited by a first peripheral edge and the opening being delimited by a second complementary peripheral edge, said peripheral edges delimiting between them a groove, characterized in that the flap is equipped with a peripheral sealing means comprising at least: a first seal which comprises a first fixing portion fixed on the first peripheral edge of the flap, and a first sealing portion which is designed to be housed in the groove, and - a second seal which comprises a second fixing portion fixed on the first peripheral edge of the flap , and a second sealing portion which is designed to be housed in the groove, in the extension of the ladi the first sealing portion, the first sealing portion and the second sealing portion having at least a first free end portion and a second free end portion respectively superimposed therebetween. Thus, the arrangement according to the invention ensures an overlap between the first seal and the second seal, in particular despite possible geometrical dispersions of the first seal and the second seal. According to another characteristic, the first sealing portion 15 forms a ramp which is arranged facing the second free end section and which is designed so that the first free end section of the first seal is arranged below the second free end section of the second seal. In addition, the ramp has a slope designed to naturally guide the runoff water below the second seal portion of the second seal. This feature helps guide runoff beyond the trunk opening. In another aspect, the first sealing portion and the second sealing portion each have a U-shaped section. In addition, the first sealing portion and the second sealing portion are flush with the first peripheral edge of the flap and the second peripheral edge of the trunk opening. This characteristic makes it possible to limit the turbulence of the air in the vicinity of the first seal and the second seal. In addition, the outcrop provides improved visual and finishing quality. In another aspect, each fixing portion is fixed on the first peripheral edge associated by overmolding. In addition, the flap comprises at least: a first element which is designed to be arranged opposite a roof of the vehicle, and which carries the first seal, and a second element which is connected on the first element and which carries the second seal.
The flap 12 is defined by a first peripheral edge 28 shown in part in Figure 1. In a complementary manner, the opening 14 of the trunk is delimited by a second peripheral edge 30 complementary, the first peripheral edge 28 of the flap 12 and the second peripheral edge 30 of the trunk delimiting between them 20 a groove 32, in the flap configuration 12 closed. Referring to Figure 2, the flap 12 is equipped with a peripheral sealing means having a first seal 34a which extends along the first peripheral edge 28 defined by the spoiler 18, and a second seal 34b which s' extends along the first peripheral edge 28 delimited by the first post 22. Each seal 34a, 34b is made of elastically deformable material, of the elastomer type, for example. The first seal 34a has a first attachment portion 36a which is attached to the first peripheral edge 28 of the flap 12, as shown in FIG. 5, and a first sealing portion 38a. Similarly, the second seal 34b includes a second fixing portion 36b fixed on the first peripheral edge 28 of the flap 12, as shown in Figure 6, and a second sealing portion 38b. The first seal 34a and the second seal 34b are arranged without discontinuity, and the first sealing portion 38a and the second sealing portion 38b are arranged in the groove 32 so as to be flush with the outside face of the spoiler 18 and the According to FIGS. 5 and 6, the first fastening portion 36a and the second fixing portion 36b each have a U-shaped section of convexity oriented downwards, which cooperates with the peripheral edge 28 formed by the spoiler 18 and the peripheral edge formed by the first upright 22 respectively. The first fixing portion 36a and the second fixing portion 36b are here made by overmolding.
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the first sealing portion 38a and the second sealing portion 38b comprise a first free end section 40a and a second free end section 40b respectively which are superposed on each other by overlap, in the vicinity of the junction between the spoiler 18 and the first post 22. The first sealing portion 38a forms a ramp 42 which is arranged opposite the second free end section 40b and which is designed so that the first free end portion 40a of the first seal 34a is arranged below the second free end portion 40b of the second seal 34b. More particularly, the ramp 42 has a slope designed to naturally guide the runoff water below the second sealing portion 38b, for example to a gutter provided to evacuate the water flows. As shown in FIG. 4, the first sealing portion 38a and the second sealing portion 38b each have a U-shaped section of convexity facing upwards. By symmetry along the plane I illustrated in FIG. 1, the first seal 34a and the second seal 34b comprise a third free end section and a second free end section (not shown) which are arranged in the vicinity of the connection between the spoiler 18 and the second post 24, identical to the first free end section 40a and the second free end section 40b previously described.
The superposition of the free end sections 40a, 40b of the first seal 34a and the second seal 34b makes it possible to absorb the geometrical dispersions between the spoiler 18 and the upright 22, as well as the geometrical dispersions of the length of the joints 34a, 34b themselves to ensure a minimum overlap between the first seal 34a and the second seal 34b, without risk of discontinuity of the seal provided by the seals 34a, 34b. In addition, the arrangement 10 according to the invention makes it possible to guide the runoff water directly to a gutter provided for this purpose, the gutter being for example formed along the second peripheral edge 30 which delimits the opening 14 of the trunk .
