Abstract

The sealing strip is designed to consist of an external part (2) and an internal part (1). Between the two parts, a U-shaped groove (G) is formed. The groove encloses and seals the edge (3a) of the glass panel (3), when it is in the closed position. The internal section of the profile of the sealing strip, carries a pair of lips (10,11), which are in contact with the internal face of the glass panel as it moves into the closed position. The inner lip (11) is designed to be deflected by the glass panel to come into contact with a stop lip (12). The stop lip protrudes from the outer bridge section (21), of the profile, which joins the internal and external sections together. The stop lip is designed and located to cause the glass panel to move, as it closes, towards the external section of the sealing strip.
