Etat de la technique Un épandeur est constitué d'une caisse montée sur un ou deux essieux et tractable par un engin agricole, d'un tapis de transport motorisé 15 à commande hydraulique, s'étendant sensiblement horizontalement au fond de la caisse, et de deux hérissons horizontaux ou verticaux, entraînés en rotation selon leurs axes respectifs. Le principe de fonctionnement est d'amener la matière stockée dans la caisse jusqu'aux hérissons grâce à l'avance du tapis de transport. Les hérissons tournent, déchiquètent la 20 matière qui est amenée à leur contact par le tapis, et expulsent la matière derrière le convoi formé par l'engin agricole et l'épandeur.
