Abstract

L'invention a pour objet un procédé permettant d'optimiser le processus de combustion des particules polluantes émises par un moteur thermique d'un véhicule qui comporte également un système comprenant un filtre à particules dont le fonctionnement requiert un additif ayant un effet sur la température de combustion des particules ;un moyen permettant de procéder au jaugeage du carburant et un moyen permettant d'introduire l'additif dans un réservoir de carburant du véhicule. Selon l'invention, le procédé comprend les étapes consistant à déterminer le profil de roulage du véhicule au moyens de paramètres évalués constamment et ajuster automatiquement et en continu le dosage d'additif dans le réservoir de carburant du véhicule en fonction dudit profil de roulage préalablement déterminé.
