Description
The present invention relates to a device for wedging an amount of railing on a support, such as a roof, a terrace or a wall, this wedging device being provided for fixing or anchoring the amount of railing on the support.
It relates more particularly to a wedging device shaped to ensure the adjustment of the inclination of the upright relative to the support. Indeed, the supports are never perfectly horizontal or rectilinear, it is necessary to provide an adjustment of the vertical inclination of the uprights to ensure alignment of smooth mounted horizontally between the uprights to ensure the safety of people traveling on the support. To make up for the horizontal defects of the support, it is known to use a wedging device, illustrated in FIG. 1, which consists of a guard shoe 100 having: a base 101 fixed on the support S by means of screw assemblies 102 and nut 103, the screws 102 being anchored on the support S and protruding substantially vertically; a mast 104 integral with the base 101 and delimiting a hollow sleeve in which one end of the upright M on said shoe; and one or more pressure screws 105 cooperating with a threaded orifice formed in the base 101 for adjusting the inclination of the mast 104, and therefore the amount M, relative to the support S. As can be seen in FIG. pressure screw 105 bears directly on the support S, and more specifically on the outer layer of the support S which can be made of concrete, tiles, or the like. This type of wedging device has the disadvantage of having a pressure screw directly in contact with the outer layer of the support S, at the risk of damaging the outer layer and weakening the fixing of the shoe on the support, which can result in a weakening of the overall strength of the guardrail and a degradation of the adjustment of the verticality of the amount. This wedging device also has the disadvantage of leaving a gap or visible gap between the base of the shoe and the support, as shown by reference V in Figure 1, once adjusted the verticality of the amount. This void impedes the aesthetics of the wedging device and is generally concealed by means of a bead of caulk applied to the periphery of the base.
The present invention aims to solve all or part of these disadvantages by providing a wedging device that prevents degradation of the support by the pressure screw or screws. Another object of the present invention is to hide the void between the base of the shoe and the support, to improve the aesthetics of the wedging device and to avoid the grinding operations. For this purpose, it proposes a wedging device of a railing post on a support, of the type comprising a railing shoe having: a base provided with first means for fixing the shoe on said support; a mast secured to the base and provided with second means for fixing one end of the upright on said shoe; and at least one pressure screw cooperating with a threaded orifice formed in said base for adjusting the inclination of the mast relative to said support; wherein the wedging device is remarkable in that it further comprises a sole on which the base of the shoe rests, said sole being shaped for the passage of the first fixing means and having a bearing surface for the or each pressure screw. Thus, the soleplate is interposed between the base of the shoe and the support so that the pressure screw or presses bear against the soleplate, and no longer directly on the support, thus ensuring a distribution of the pressure forces on the support, while allowing the passage of the first fixing means 25 which ensure the attachment of the shoe on the support. In this way, the sole avoids the degradation of the support by the pressure screw or screws. According to one characteristic, the sole has at least one drainage orifice provided for evacuation of the water flowing on the shoe. Indeed, to avoid the retention of water flowing along the shoe 30 to flow on the sole, it is advantageous to provide one or more drainage holes, preferably on the periphery of the sole opposite the periphery of the base hoof. According to another characteristic, the sole comprises a plate on which the shoe base rests and a side wall extending at least partially around the periphery of said plate to at least partially surround the base of the shoe on a predetermined height.
Thus, the sole has a side wall which forms an envelope surrounding at least part of the base of the shoe to hide the gap or the gap that is established between the base and the sole plate once the adjustment of the verticality realized. The height of this side wall may be continuous or variable, depending in particular on the location of the pressure screws on the base of the shoe. In a particular embodiment, the or each drainage orifice is formed on the periphery of the plate, facing the periphery of the base of the shoe. In this way, the water flows along the hoof, fall from the periphery of the base and are evacuated by this or these drainage holes placed directly below the periphery of the base, thus avoiding a stagnation of water to inside the board. For example, the drainage orifice may be formed in the plate and / or in the side wall. In a particular embodiment, the side wall extends around the entire periphery of the tray and completely surrounds the base of the shoe, thus completely concealing the gap between the base of the shoe and the sole plate. According to a possibility of the invention, the side wall has a shape substantially complementary to that of the base of the shoe to marry at least in part said base on the predetermined height. Thus, the side wall wife or at least partially envelops the base of the shoe to improve the aesthetic and facilitate the flow of water. According to another possibility of the invention, the first fastening means comprise at least one screw passing through a fixing orifice formed in said base, and the sole plate comprises at least one orifice for passing the or each screw; this passage opening may be formed in the tray. Thus, the sabot fixing screw passes through both the base of the shoe and the soleplate in order then to cooperate with a complementary fixing member, such as a nut, and to ensure the firm fixing of the wedging device on the support. According to another advantageous feature of the invention, the or at least one passage opening is of oblong shape, thus providing a useful degree of freedom for the correct positioning of the sole under the shoe.
The present invention relates to the characteristic that the shoe comprises at least two pressure screws each cooperating with a threaded orifice formed in the base, so that these two pressure screws each bear against the sole; the interest is to ensure a complementary adjustment of the verticality of the amount, playing on the screwing of the two pressure screws at the same time. The invention also relates to a railing comprising at least one amount fixed on a support by means of a wedging device according to the invention.

With reference to FIGS. 2 and 4 to 6, the wedging device 1 of an amount M of railing on a support S, for fixing or anchoring the upright M on the support, comprises a shoe 2 for guarding body and a soleplate 3 interposed between the shoe 2 and the support S. The shoe 2 comprises a base (or plate) 4 provided with a flat bottom face 40 and in which are formed two fixing orifices (not visible) each traversed by a screw 41 anchored in the support S and protruding vertically from the support S; each screw 41 cooperating with a nut 42 screwed onto the upper end of the screw 41. The shoe 2 further comprises a mast 5 forming a hollow sleeve 35 inside which is fitted and tightened a lower end of the amount M; the clamping of the upright M in the mast 5 can be achieved by means of a clamping screw (not shown) possibly cooperating with a corner piece. This mast 5 is integral with the base 4 and covers it; the base 4 and the mast 5 can be made in one piece, in particular in a metal material. The fixing orifices are arranged on either side of the mast 5, in a so-called transverse direction. The shoe 2 also comprises two pressure screws 6 (visible in FIG. 2) each cooperating with a threaded orifice (not visible) formed in the base 5. These two pressure screws 6 are arranged side by side in the transverse direction, on a so-called front portion 43 of the base 4, the mast 5 being disposed on a so-called rear opposite portion 44 of the base 4. The sole 3 is interposed between the shoe S and the lower face 40 of the base 4, so that the base 4 rests on the sole 3 and does not come into contact with the support S. This sole 3 comprises: - a flat-shaped plate 30 on which rests the lower face 40 of the base 4, this plate 30 having a shape substantially identical to that of said lower face 40 with slightly larger dimensions; and a side wall 31 extending around the entire periphery of the plate 30, this lateral wall 31 being of vertical extension from the perimeter of plate 30, the lateral wall 31 possibly being slightly convex to fit the base 4 on its circumference on a predefined height. To ensure the passage of the screws 41, this platform 30 is provided with two orifices 32 of oblong passage. For the evacuation of the water flowing on the shoe 2 and falling from the peripheral edge of its base 4, the sole 3 has two drainage orifices 33, 34 formed on the periphery of the plate 30, namely: a front slot 33 arranged in the plate 30 on a front portion 35 of the sole 3 located below the front portion 43 of the base 4; and - a rear slot 34 formed in the side wall 31 on a rear portion 36 of the sole 3 located below the rear portion 44 of the base 4.
In the situation, the two pressure screws 6 come to bear on the plate 30 of the sole 3, and more specifically on two flat bearing surfaces 37 visible in FIG. 5. In situation, the lateral wall 31 conceals the external vacuum or spacing between the lower face 40 of the base 4 and the plate 30 of the sole 3; the side wall 31 being higher on the front portion 35 of the sole 3 than on the rear portion 36, due to the location of the pressure screws 6 in the front portion 43 of the base 4. As can be seen in FIGS. and 6, the adjustment of the vertical inclination of the upright M is effected by playing on the two pressure screws 6, while 5 ensuring a support of these pressure screws 6 on the plate 30 of the sole 3 with the concealment operated by the side wall 31. As can be seen in FIG. 7, another adjustment of the vertical inclination of the post M can be envisaged by playing independently on the two set screws 6.
Of course the implementation example mentioned above is not limiting in nature and further improvements and details can be made to the wedging device according to the invention, without departing from the scope of the invention where Other forms of the shoe and / or the sole may for example be made.
